It helped me a lot and I'm doing it again for April. I think it gets you more motivated and it really helps! Such a beautiful video btw!

The “dark side” of your planner/notebook is just my regular life. I use a monthly calendar for “planning” and then just make lists and scribbles and notes for keeping track of everything daily. That’s why even though I love watching bujo videos, I probably won’t ever use one. 🤷🏼♀️ Anyone else?
Yep, my daily lists are a mess! I wish more bullet journalers would post pics of their "messy" spreads- I think trying to make it seem perfect all the time defeats the purpose of a bullet journal, and discourages new people from trying it.

About your "dark planner", as a fan and a bullet journal user myself I wanna say I'd much prefer to see your messy usage pages right smack along with your fancy pages. This is the reality of how most of us journal! We plan for beauty, and we set time aside for it when we can, but real life is often messy and our journals reflect that. Learning to embrace the messiness and accept it as normal is important! And learning to work around the messiness to continue to add beauty here and there as space for it pops up is also important. When you segregate your "show" self from your "real life" self, it sends the message that somehow there is something wrong with the real you and the real limitations you have on your time, patience, energy, or whatever. I beg you to consider allowing your "show" journal to include your messy day journalling. Trust that your fans will love you for being the real you, and not expect you to live up to an impossible perfection that none of us ever reach. Trust that your fans will in fact be comforted to know you are really one of us, and suffer lower energy times too. And branch into teaching how a messy journal page may still be beautiful in its own way because it helped you function, and perhaps showing how a small doodle or sticker or bit of washi can be enough to prettify an otherwise messy page. Kinda like a girl at play with unbrushed hair who still takes time to wear a flower and a smile, is beautiful without needing to be perfect. Not every moment of life needs to be "best manners like at church" formal.

Since you mentioned you got some new fine liners, my favorite one is the Pigma Micron because I’m a lefty and it gives me the best stability when I’m writing especially very small lettering, or drawing even lines etc. So are there any fine liners you would recommend that are similar? Thanks!! I also want to check out Skillshare to see if they have any classes for brush pen writing/calligraphy for left handed people.
I think the Microns might be the best for that. I also like the Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens though I'm not really picky when it comes to fineliners, so my list of recommendations is quite short. I do prefer gel pens but I know those aren't the most left-handed-friendly since they smudge. I've seen some lettering classes on Skillshare where the teachers were left handed, so I'm sure you'll find something that's helpful to you! ❤️
