Non smokers just don’t get that it’s not an exclusivity thing. You’re more than welcome to join but yeah we’re gonna go have a smoke might take our time with it. Obviously pick your spots and don’t go during an actual meal, but I don’t see the problem dipping off in between courses of a long dinner. There’s multiple people still at the table to make conversation. Golden rule is just don’t leave anyone alone.
I give up smoking 4 years ago it was hard work, but yes you never smoked at food table I would excuse myself and go find a spot away from people.i smoked for 40 years I woke up one morning I normally go to the shop and buy some that morning I didn't want to go out because it was freezing cold and raining that was the beginning

I rate Daisy , although not perfect ( but who is ) I understand & respect where she's coming from.. She can't say anything to the cook as she just gets offended.. A chef knows their eggs , I wish the cook would of put as much effort in the breakfast as she did that amuse bouche at the end of the charter.. Good tip though but it wasn't just down to the cook.
I’m not sure where they are but it’s pretty common to have ash trays at the table and smoke in most of Europe, especially if the table is outside. Obviously if their table guests don’t like it it’s impolite but a lot of people don’t care.

I understand that it is rude and disrespectful to smoke around others who do not, but the reaction and the way some of them talked about it made me think it was more of a network / production issue, as it’s not the best message to put out there, especially for kids as they have access to the show on Netflix.
Daisy, a point of “constructive criticism”.... don’t say “ a point of constructive criticism”. It’s happened too often. All she hears is “criticism”. Use your social and managerial skills to add a huge compliment before asking her opinion on smaller portions and leftover evidence. She’s doing her job very well and hiccups in communication are normal. Saying the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome is on you. She’s not hearing your intent and it’s just unnecessary. Try a different manner.
How much did Big Tobacco pay them to promote smoking to young people ? We know producers get paid millions to keep smoking on the screen but I wonder how much they got ?

The manners were them going off elsewhere to smoke, there is nothing worse then an ash tray on table during dinner.
I smoke too but if you want eat together then do that !!! If dinner is over you can smoke your assss offff🤷
