👉What D-school does not teach? This video puts so much into perspective! When you spoke about the communication gap between business personnel and designers it struck so many chords in my brain. As designers the onus falls on us to show empathy and understand the needs of our business/client/company as much we need to understand the needs of our users. I also found the bit about "start earning as soon as you can" very inspiring. I have only recently started freelancing work and I wonder why I did not start doing this earlier. I was always told to focus on my studies first and the money comes later. And after studying for so many year, I realized that what the industry needs has always been way beyond the coursework. This philosophy should be a part of school curriculums!
Money has never been the ultimate goal of the society we live in... which is good actually...and that's why earning early will never become part of curriculum. But learning about how money works is essential and should be taught in school. Fortunately, there are startups working on financial literacy...
Your videos are becoming very insightful. It doesn't make sense what's the point of getting into a design college which doesn't provide any business side of design or real-world context. Most of the students in a design school are concerned with art, drawing, painting, without adopting any business values which I think is important.
Thanks for the video Arnav, this felt soo important to get out for kids blindly running behind digital design. It's just soo amazinggg how you can make such complex things feel so easy
right time you uploaded this video.... you really inspire me!!! yesterday i m thinking of "ज्यो तिल माहि तेल है,यो चकमक मे आग,तेरा साईं तुझमे है,जाग सकै तो जाग" today you make me confident ...to think over it...thanks
This is nice to see that you are trying to make this channel a holistic approach in designers life frm entrance exam to book analysis and now this one great thinking making it A to Z stop every aspect of a designers life . Best wishes for future 🙂
Hey, it would be of great help if you could create a video on your recommendations of books a designer should should read being a designer. (Not a specific field designer, but in a general sense.) And thank you for creating such informative, quality & relatable content !! :)
