Kizer is just the best; I know a lot of people with rag on that statement because it’s Chinese and it’s all about ‘Merica! But the quality and innovation Kizer brings to the table for such cheap pricing is insane. Every single knife I’ve held from them hit way above it’s weight class and the action is always phenomenal. Hats off to them!
**Side note: Tuya did a G10 integral version of the Big Belly that came out like 4 months ago or so. Companies are starting to see some merit in the integral frame which is cool to see.**
oh yeah i have the carbon fiber version of the Big Belly i wasnt thinking about the g10 ones
@@NeevesKnives what do you think of it? I’ve been eyeing it but haven’t decided on it yet
I'm sorry but I think knife prices will have to go down soon with stuff like this coming out. I hope the price gouging knife companies out there start feeling the burn BAD.
People keep buying them. Our economy is really good right now. But it’s really bad for like 10% of us. By the numbers our economy is breaking every record. For capitalism to function there always has to be those on the bottom.
@@Fly2kill1 Do you work for these companies I'm talking about?? The US economy is in a terrible state right now. 10%? That's laughable.
@@Fly2kill1 Nobody would say what you said if they weren't paid to say it.
@@Fly2kill1 Peope making $100,000 a yeat are struggling to pay bills. 20 years ago that was a fantastic and very comfortable wage. Now it barely pays the bills.
@@Fly2kill1 Your comment needs to be broken down by the sentence. You can be nothing but a paid commenter.
Rike is like the simpsons of weird knife design. aren't they?
Rike is one of my favorite knife companies, but it's also probably the strangest
I’m a recent Kizer convert. I got fed up with the nonsense prices of other big companies and bought 3 to try out. AmazIng quality across different price points. I’m really impressed with them.
Which companies did u turn away from? Personally Kizer is my go-to. Spyderco kills me with their prices. The blade shapes are great but I don’t carry them so much cuz I’m big on the fidget factor and the compression lock isn’t anywhere near as good for that as the clutch lock. On top of that their pocket clips suck & the g10 shreds the insides of my pockets
Edit: I do love spyderco’s lightweight models tho. When you’re wearing sweats or gym shorts it’s nice not having some heavy knife swinging around in your pocket
CJRB is also making some outstanding knives for under $60… They’re so good, NOBODY needs better!
@@EDCstealsI’m a collector, and I LOVE Kizer! I have way too many knives, including about 40 Kizers. They are uniformly EXCELLENT, and their prices are always reasonable.
@@yankee2yankee216 I agree no one needs better but it’s a collection and it feels good to get the stuff that isn’t as common. I love tbe nicer knives but I still regularly buy budget knives too. My case at the moment is more like no one NEEDS that many knives. It’s 100% true, most of the knives I get I only carry once or twice and cut a few things before I get he next one and the earlier one goes on my shelf. I have some that haven’t even made a single cut yet. I like them for more than just their working performance tho. The uniqueness of a knife is a big draw for me. Anything that’s different catches my interest
Same with me, bought a couple Kizers 2 years ago and keep buying them lolololol. 2nd favorite behind Artisan Cutlery.
BM executives are having heart palpitations at that price tag lol
BM execs don't care one way or another about anything. They're too filthy rich from sticking it to buyers to care. All they do is laugh. Even when they poop dollar bills come out into the toilet.
I really like your new closing mantra!
In a sea of thumb studs and liner locks, it's so nice to see a sterile, flipper-only button lock that you can easily wipe clean of gunk. More please!
@@CuttingBoardRx Only thing I know is keep a can of compressed air on hand and blow the thing out. of course, could treat it like what it looks like the most- A Glock frame. Another reason to break out a cleaning patch and rod to clean the inside.
Kizer is still The King of Quality Materials for great prices and great designs and variants. No company can compare for the last 5 or more years. Plus innovation. Kizer is the Standard 🙉💯
Thanks Jared. I wish that integral was not flipper only. Still need to get a drop bear.
oh man yes you do for sure i think the drop bear is a must have in the collection
I really like that they added a standard version of the Drop Bear in micarta. That grippy material makes a lot of sense for a decently compact edc design.
And there is the WE Eidolon with integral G10 handle, which is a nice dagger style knife.
Those axis locks are smashing the button lock trend. Do people finally realize that button locks are the weakest system, whereas axis locks are strong, symmetrical, they do not fail if you push on them using your knife... I love that. (actually, I have more fun fidgeting liner and frame locks, more operation to do, more focus on not cutting yourself...)
yeah theres also the tuya big belly which i forgot about that is also an integral g10 or carbon fiber
@@NeevesKnives you have soo much stuff available in the US 😭
Didn't knew about this knife and now I am in love all over again. What have you done ? 😂
Love the back of the handle
Kizer always brings the heat. So many I want, that Integral is sick. I want the Coniferous V and Mad Tanto so bad too.
The Brat is sick and i love the Sheepdog clutch lock
Love my Kizers, lots of value at all their price points imo
That Kizer Brat is a winner for sure.I would love too see Kizer do a large Drop Bear model(3.75-4 inch blade).
Kizer has really taken the clutch lock design to a higher standard. Being able to adjust the omega springs is a great concept they executed very well. I believe the new Sheepdog clutch lock only has three points of adjustment instead of the five on other models. The purple aluminum and black blade combo is definitely a great choice.
Kizer still going strong let’s hope they don’t start slipping up on the little details like forgetting to include all the extras parts or that could be a shot in the foot for them. Personally I wouldn’t want them to go down that route as I do love them KIZER’s. Have a beautiful day J&K and as always stay safe and healthy 🫵🏻😘👍🏼
I think they need to worry more about consistent heat treat on blades. And their seemingly most annoying thing- hit and miss factory edge grinds. I like Kizer but received way too many horrible factory edges from them. I'm hoping they are better with these newer models.
My drop bear never came with extra omega springs(blue aluminum 20cv) figured for the extra price I paid that wouldn't have been overlooked
Kizer is killing it for sure!
Love that Sheepdog… that’s the Knife Center exclusive one I think.
Went to buy that exact model and it was sold out quick!
That Sheepdog is fire🤤🔥🔥🔥🔥
Rike tulay flipper integral g10 handle. Knife center was able to get one with cf inlays as an exclusive.
Man that purple really pops! Not a color I normally go after, but its pretty sick.
Kizer Wiser bringing in the Intergralizer..! That Purple haze is a definite go to....conteplating here. Shall I? That compact Drop Bear shape is similar to a Kephart. Bang..cheers Jaryd. Hi Kara.! Australia say Hello.!
I wouldn't worry too much about Omega springs missing, Kizer customer support is great. And they will ship anything out if there are any issues
Tuya makes a g10 intergral has a cross bar lock also 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Jerad! I love Kizer knives and look forward to more from them.
Cheers! 🍻
If they made that brat in a better steel it would be a home run
Kizer is Killin it this year!
Man that Brat is soooo cool. Just wish came in a different color
Love my drop bear, also have a Kizer Escort arriving in the mail today any minute now
which one do you have coming?
Sheepdog looks amazing I don't personally own one but they look so cool
they are actually really good knives
I need a new regular size sheepdog and this is it.
nice knife I'm a die-hard fan of SOG knives
The integral rike is the Rike Tulay.
I got the knifecenter exclusive drop bear and it didn’t come with extra omega springs. It came with extra screws, but not the omega extra omega springs.
Kizer really just keeps winning with these designs.
Agreed with many comments here. The prices have gone up stupid!!
There are some great knifes out there much more reasonable. I have a great collection for good prices.
Competition will hopefully bring down the prices..
Nope- competition will not matter. Remember when Kizer used to be the "competition"? I believe by next year you won't see any new Kizer designs under $100. I feel like they have a taste now of $$$$ fever and will ratchet prices on up. That's why I'm grabbing the Brat now. It might be the last Kizer for me unless the Brat really does impress me.
@@RobNC-OG
I have to agree.
I just hope we are wrong.
One more nit pick, on the Drop Bear. Why, with todays technology, didn't they recess the clip plate into the handle? They already did an excellent job with the flat head screws into the clip. Maybe they didn't want to put a filler tab on the other side, for aesthetic reasons. Otherwise, a really great design!!
The Kizer Brat seems somehow Glock-ish to me. The way the button lock mechanism is inside reminds me of the locking block inside the Glock frame. It's unique looking among knives out there. Yep, had to order one. Hoping it will be a good one.
yeah it kinda does lol
Lionsteel tm1 has a version in micarta integral. Dunno if they still make them or not.
I like the micarta drop bear. But since my wife spent all my money, I can’t buy anything this pay period.
I was missing omega spring with my escort. You advised me to contact them which I did and I got them but if I didn’t watch these videos I might not have even known they were supposed to be there. Thanks again. Oh and I feel like the second to last is the best spot for the omega springs on the escort but I haven’t handled the drop bear.
The drop bear looks weird with micarta, the escort looks good in aluminum and micarta but the drop bear I think looks best in the aluminum
If people would stop paying high prices for knives , they would have to come down to sell them , but for some stupid reason they keep buying at high prices !!!
Not sure about that integral milling but good first step to stomping out overpriced knives
That is cool but they should have used aluminum instead of G10. Wouldn't be hard to do.
You can still get EXCELLENT knives for under $100…
Malibu killer 😁
No body’s talking about the US knife Co that’s going out of business?
Ontario knives have never been known for high quality or a good fit and finish. They are just a low end budget company. I doubt very many people will miss them or even notice they are gone. I have well over one hundred knives and have never even been tempted to buy an Ontario knife. I’m sure I’m not the only one. It is sad to see a one hundred and thirty year old American company bite the dust, but I can’t say it really surprises me.
@@jonathancupp3686 you sound more interested in your shelf queens than you are of your economy.
@@airadaimagery692 I have no shelf queens. I don’t even have any high dollar knives. I have several between 2 and 3 hundred dollars, but most are sub $100. I’m simply saying it the way I see it. Besides that, it’s not like my meager spending is capable of changing the economy anyway. The recent good quality at budget prices coming out of China is what is hurting our budget brands. I do own two Chinese knives, but I try to avoid them because of that reason.
the brat is pretty sick...
Luckily my Brat didn't have any g10 dust
When are you gonna start making knives J? W/the right people and product around you. There's no telling what you could achieve. 🤘🤑
👀👀🤗🤗💪💪👍👍
It was rike
I PRAY that Kizer makes a Brat without a flipper tab and with a hole deployment or studs. With such a neutral integral handle I would love to choke up as close to the edge as possible. These last years Kizer have done an amazing job with so many of their models, plunge grind on some of them could be better but the knives are so good I don't mind that much on the Vanguard series. They also do a great job with the Kansept production.
I really wish the Brat had thubstuds also 😢 I just can't bring myself to buy a flipper only knife anymore
I have arrived at the same point of evolution in my collecting habits. 👍🏻
The brat is really nice, but the mounting style and angle of the clip looks kinda goofy imo.
When I watch you fidget with a knife, I feel like Steven Hawking effin with mine 😂
