@@strictnessofdeath2822 thanks that I’ll have to try in case a kick comes forward. It’s tricky knowing if they are gonna throw low or high strike a lot
I started to utilize the leaning back animation alot more and it's fire. You jus make sure your not to close but still in striking range to slip any attack they throw. Just guard the body and use your jab to create space.
Yeah I love using the lean back and it's supper effective once you get the timing down. It can technically slip any kind of punch thrown however if your opponent throws a jab or a straight while moving towards you then there's a high chance that it'll land. For beginners, I wouldn't recommend trying it. But you can definitely make it work once you get the hang of it 👊
Sorry Shawn, I intended to be more active with this channel and I still plan to. Yes, it definitely gets easier to predict with more practice! It also helps to learn common combos and you'll see that most opponents use a variation of the same combo such as the jab, hook, uppercut or jab, uppercut, hook. Regardless, the last two strikes can be countered with a well-timed pull counter so it's definitely worth getting comfortable with that one! 🥊
I’m curious the best ways of in fight modes how to tell what direction the opponent will throw that’s high or low if it’s combinations for career mode so you can have a long career
Played for the first time yesterday and it's a tough but fun game. I jumped straight in career mode (as you do) won the Conner fight but got my ass handed to me in the second fight. Think I best hit practice mode to get used to it. Great tips 👍
Ya know, unfortunately, I mainly play UFC 4 now which has slightly different head movement mechanics. If I remember correctly, I did not hold R2 while dodging in UFC 3. However, I do in UFC 4 since they added the ability to block while slipping/dodging. Hope this helps! 🥊
I have two different ways of doing it. Sometimes I click the right stick with my thumb and then press the strike with my index finger. I believe some people call this a "claw grip" in terms of how you hold the controller. Or more simply, I just flick the right stick with my thumb and then quickly press the counter strike button. The flick and the button press AREN'T supposed to be done at the same time so you should have enough time to flick and then press. It just might take a little practice!
man this is the hardest game ive played, everyone just seems wayyyyy better than me in ranked/quick fights. I just got the game and ive won a total of 1 online game (by sub lol). The learning curve is way too steep coming from someone whos played all kinds of games from mobas (dota) and sports games like fifa cod and 2k. its like everyone is just spamming some weird ass combos and clinching me, everytime i try to clinch / takedwon i get kneed in the face if i try to slip i just get head kicked in that direction and fucked to oblivion.
I agree that the learning curve is pretty ridiculous. But if you stick with it and adapt your style around the online meta, you'll start to get better and enjoy it. I'd be glad to help
colin james yea I feel the same way but i learned pretty fast. However I think the ground and grapple game is just dumb and overly complicated so I just play the stand and bang game mode. I like boxing better than UFC anyways but they won’t give us another fight night game so...
This took my game to a whole nother level !!!! Haven’t lost in a whiles now man ! Countering and defense is better . Thanks one more time !
Glad it helped! 🥊
Does it take a long time to master the slips too knowing they could throw kicks and uppercuts on the way when you slip left or right
@@shawnrichards8865 Try to dodge back more

Very useful! Thank you so much
No problem bro! Glad I could help.
The dodging is so smooth and fun I was curious if it sometimes easy to predict which punch they are gonna throw for tendencies?

This was helpful, thank you. I started playing UFC 3 and i'm so bad. I used to be top 5 in Ultimate Team for UFC 2, it's frustrating sucking so bad.
No problem! Is there anything else that you'd like to see me cover?
Hmm. Could you do some uses for the pull back counter? Or do a video on your favorite techniques/strategies/combos. Thanks!
Another interesting thing would be "Most common online strategies and how to counter them"
@@yugen you got it brother, I'll try to have a new video out sometime this week 🥊
Thank you 🙂

Great stuff - this has really helped my game play. It’s so cool because it’s exactly how you’d do it in a real fight
Thought I was decent but learned a ton from this. Thank you sir

I may sound dumb but, if I'm flicking the right stick with my right hand, then wich hand press the button so I can land counter strike?

I'm basically a Mike Tyson style in UFC 3
I'am a pressure counter.
Good video thanks
Ty buddy
Why did you never do any more videos after this??
Why don't
You stream anymore
I'm sorry my friend, I got real busy with other stuff going on :/ I've been thinking about putting out some UFC 4 content though!

Game is full of spammers hard to utilize head movements when someone is throwing 4 hit combos 😂 but good video
Good job man!
Thanks bro!
I try this and I just get caught with a punch anyways and get rocked, shits annoying asf
With the 1 - 2 strike i just block the jab and counter the punch with a hook. Lol
Who wanna fight
Apology accepted.
