FF to 9:42 for Address Function example

However, the examples show how to use the function, but there is no example of how this function would be useful. This function seems redundant, since if I want to direct a formula to calculate/refer to a cell, I could simply type $B$4, rather then use the Address function, and extra typing. Do you have an example of how the Address function would be useful?

@@tfsig I too am baffled as to why you would make it so complicated when you can simply type the cell in the sheet/tab you are interested in. I have inherited a spreadsheet from an ex-colleague who uses =@INDIRECT(ADDRESS(26,4,,,$B24) all over a multi-tab spreadsheet. It is not working correctly. So now I am trying to figure out what is wrong with it. It is really a simply spreadsheet summing the hourly rate for a particular grade of employee to their total hours. I am baffled as to why they have made it so complicated with the use of the indirect / address function. I am searching the net for coherent explanation of this function. Unfortunately, this video hasn't clarified it for me. I'll watch it again....
