  • Arjun Erigaisi plays this final game of the Chennai Grand Masters 2023 with great imagination and fighting spirit against Sanan Sjugirov. His opening is his favourite Saemisch variation in the Nimzo Indian and it is filled with such interesting ideas! You should really check this game along with the commentary by Sagar Shah to appreciate the depth and brilliance of Arjun's play.

This game was so entertaining every move was masterful and dare i say human? Im rather tired of players playing a 45 move sequence of supercomputers main line moves before playing a bot endgame and drawing the game becuz they know that whenever theres a deviation its either loosing or you have to be beyond stockfish precise.

f3 is very underrated against nimzo indian, black needs to know theory well to keep it equal, otherwise they get crushed

Their should be a mechanism that automatically records their move while playing in the score sheet it can be a digital one

its weird really its like if arjun and gukesh played each other and one of them won and they ended up with the same points at the end of the tournament then the winner of their match wins the tournament if they both drew each other then the player who won most games wins if not that then the player who beat stronger players wins its very complicated lol let it be
