      it’s cause guys like him get so hyped up by sports media like overtime, and ballislife at such a young age that if they don’t become a star like people said they would be he becomes another hype job. meanwhile, it’s on the next for those sports outlets.

    • @Htiy
      @Htiy 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@area11_t36facts people gotta start realizing that being a top 5 pick does not guarantee you become a superstar or even star at all. Even if every top 5 pick lived ip to the hype a decade of top 5 picks but means youre a top 50 player

      He was one of the worst if not the worst player in the nba, when you consider his impact. (There were probably worse players than him, but they played 3 minutes a game so their negative impact was not that dramatic).. FYI - Garland was the worst player once, and has a similar story - a little bit faster and somewhat better. I mean - potential was there, but he was extremely raw

    Now, in Indy, he's doing what hes best at: Running. Systems make studs, not the other way around.

    Jalen Suggs has always had potential he just needed to find his groove he wasnt a bad player especially not in college he was a beast in college his main flaw was his inconsistent jump shot he could do everything else including slash to the basket play defense and and setup his teammates for easy buckets his shot was kind of suspect I knew if he'd worked on his jumper I'd get better as player happy the magic didnt give up on him

    Was Suggs already considered a bust? His first 2 seasons were rough but he was still only 22 and his team didn’t give up on him. It’s one thing to write off Wiseman or Primo, but Suggs?

    • @joshmakeitrite

      wiseman is only 22 and primo is only 20. those dudes could be lance stephenson-ish.

    • @75aces97
      @75aces97 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@joshmakeitrite I don’t want to make too much of them because you never know a guy’s resolve or determination to bounce back, but the flag on Wiseman is that he washed out with GS, where almost everyone works.
      What these guys do in a game is the part of their career that we see, but it’s a sliver of what they do in a week. If you’re a 19 year old rookie you might not play much, but you still practice, work out, watch video, work with trainer.
      Primo was a reach. He has the off court stuff, but didn’t show much on the floor to make you overlook that. I’ve seen guys salvage careers after early disasters, so none of this is set in stone yet, but it’s as hard as it’s ever been to get a seat at the table in this league.

    • @joshmakeitrite
      @joshmakeitrite 6 месяцев назад

      @75aces97 in defense of the other Joshes (Primo and Giddey)--you tend to do goofball ish when you're 20. Effort is a whole another thing. These guys have the natural body for it but we can only hope they are putting in the work. But it's true--we aren't seeing the practices and we don't know ish about their development until we see their games. These guys need to find mentors and use a part of their salary to hire their own development coaches and trainers.

    Cade,green,barnes would be multiple allstars.
