They got attitude and swag and charisma and vocals and bars always, but they borrow from multiple genres depending on the song. “Kill this Love” and “Playing with Fire” have hard beats; “Whistle” is slower, but still beat-driven; “As if it’s your last” is lighter, more pop; and “Stay” is almost folk/country. Their cover of Miguel’s “Sure Thing” is R & B, hip-hop and mind-blowing.

blackpink is really talented and I was a huge blink (their fandom name) for awhile but fell out of them due to the lack of music. I love them and support them with all my heart but for the past three years they’ve released less songs than I can’t count on my two hands and it’s all their agencies fault 😭

YG Entertainment decides when they get their comeback and how many songs they release. Blinks even started a # trending worldwide to protest against YG. They’re the biggest girlgroup right now and they have a huge impact in the industry so it’s not understandable why YG refuses to give them more music cuz they’re literally the reason why YG has so much many now. The fandom and blackpink won’t give up and we still support the girls and stand besides them at these frustrating times because we believe that it will get better!

About the billion views... No hate to blackpink at all. I actually Stan them as a group but the view count is misleading if you try to use it as a gauge for how popular they are. They have been debuted as a group since 2016 and they only have 4 MVs. (I personally think the company does this on purpose to 'starve' the fans and hype them) but if you are a BP fan (a blink) then you can only watch these 4 over and over and over while waiting over a year for new content. Whereas, if you compare that to say, BTS, they released 6 videos just for their most recent album.
Another BTS fan downplaying BlackPink’s success to hype up BTS. BTS doesn’t need the hype. They’re the top act. Let BlackPink enjoy their success without jealous Army throwing shade.

Ok, how about Ateez who are only about a year and a half old but have 10 Mvs or Dreamcatcher who are 3 years old and have 9 mvs or many others!
