I just love the noise this thing makes, there is a nice low rumble hidden in there, sounds like a different beast with the body off (not nearly as growly)
In my session before i took the video i was thinking it had not enough grip and i want to dial it out to make the back swing out a bit slower and be more controlled I find the electronics straight forward positive and negative to the ESC, ESC to the motor (3 phases plus sensor wire) and ESC to receiver (which powers the receiver as well). then you just plug in the servo. servo is channel 1 and esc is channel 2 i did pull some electronics from a car, should be uploading a video soon when i start looking in to how the ESC drives the motors with an oscilloscope (spoiler: the Ensotech one is doing some odd things)
@@BlitzWorks Well it's just that there are so many different electronics to choose from, and I'm not sure where to start when there could be compatibility issues.
@@Auranapse was too much grip, not gunning it enough, took the power limiter off and its much easier to get sideways as for ESC sets, its easiest to buy the ESC and matching motor and go from there, i would not really mix and match motors for the level i am at. the ensotech stuff was one of the only options when i got into this and i like being able to reprogram it over bluetooth and get telemtry out that was as well
I use LF3 and it can easily get side ways on that kind of surface, just need a bit more power. Also, trying to learn without gyro? I'm still kinda new to the DRZ myself despite having it almost a year, I've barely driven it as I'm trying to get rid of two chairs to make space and just recently lost one of the steering linkages (I don't know how!).
The steering linkages come off really easily especially if they are at the wrong angle. having had enough experience with atomic chassis i ordered extras yeah no gyro, i dont like how it affects the end points and i have more success without it and just tuning via the transmitter managed to get it sideways and hold it in the earlier session but this is with a grand running time of 30 minutes so i am pretty happy. this chassis needs a it of disaplin at the moment to drift properly and having the camera and recording area constraints from that threw me off
No gyro!? Brave man!
Nice shell, I have that one too, I'm gyro dependant, can't even drive a real car without one 😉

Great drifting skill, man! I bet it's harder using 2WD to drift than AWD.
Awesome video!! Just had a question does the super skeeter work on mini z 90mm and 94mm
It does, it has a very flexible chassis enlargement system so it can accommodate the full range of mini-z chassis
Looks like there's too much grip :O
I really want to get one :D
But have no clue what to do on electronics side as I'm really new to RC as a whole.

Going to show us under the hood sometime?
