Nikolai’s FIRST DEEP SNOW with the Husky Squad

- We’re so stoked to bring you into Nikolai’s first deep snow with the Husky Squad :-) We definitely have a new snow obsessed member in this family!
We’ve had such a solid winter so far, to the point where we had to walk a closed road for a while covered with snow almost two feet deep, just to get to the trailhead. These experiences are our favorites! Once we began the snowy hike, the Squad began plowing the trail for us since no-one has been there since the massive snow dumps arrived. We arrived to the lake, covered in snow - but not frozen enough to walk on it safely just yet. We will return and let Yuna and Kimahri go wild on it soon! This trail usually takes us about an hour and half, but it took us over three hours in this deep snow.
The peace and serenity out in the quiet winter wilderness is so soothing and therapeutic. There’s nothing like it!

Extraordinary, charming and mesmerizing!
We got a big husky like Khimarhi into my friends' and my rescue. He was big and beautiful - large & in charge. He was the boss & his former owners didn't know how to train him. He was a good boy, but difficult to walk & not interested in listening to you. A husky rescue agreed to take him, vet him & train him. Omg, he was gorgeous. I'm sure he found a good home. Our partners always thoroughly vet any potential adopters.

How I was missing these videos... The magical music mixed with the elegant nature sound as the pups and you touch the snow...This is just what I was looking for, healing my soul with some of your amazing nature videos. Here we are going to have rainy days, I hope they end soon and we can go to see the snow, we really need it, I hope we find the perfect snow as you have in this video, it's really amazing!!! This past Wednesday I had to say goodbye to my 11 year old Husky Orion, who succumbed to cancer. He was a powerful spirit but gentle soul and an incredible friend. We rescued him as a 2-year-old from a small urban home that just wasn’t suitable for a wild, rambunctious boy that needed to be in the wild.
It helps that as I write this, we know he is without pain and his spirit is racing with his other departed brothers and sisters through the cold and powdery snow doing what he loves. I will always miss him but thank you for posting all of these videos to remind me of the wonderful nine years we had together. It just wasn’t long enough.
Rest in Peace brother; until we meet again to roam through the quiet woods.

I miss snow and its aura. Here in Athens it snowed in February. A severe snowfall after many many years. In December temperature dropped a lot but unfortunately no snow in the city. Only in outskirts for a couple of days and more in other parts of Greece. Ruby was so happy in February! Playing around and sticking her nose in the snow 😅 but she was scared by snow falling from tree branches!
