I thought you were gonna burst with joy back on the trail, MB! 😊 I was half expecting Brian to whip out Ellie for your daily wrap-up in the tent. 😂 I agree, the 1st sip of coffee under the canopy is 2nd to none. 👍 Beautiful foliage down there. What a lovely hostel! I'm glad your family got to enjoy some of the wonderful people that make up the trail community. 😊 Take care everyone and thanks for filling my heart. 🙏❤🙏
I was exploding with joy! I couldn’t stop smiling. It was so great!! To have them all on trail with me (just missing Jadyn), was just perfect! Brian and I didn’t do a great job with wrap up like LB does, lol. That would’ve been funny if he had Ellie! 😂 Good times! 💙☀️🙏🏼
Mama Bear you have such a sweet son and it clearly shows he loves his mom, What a special moment when he moved in closer to hug you. I am excited to watch you and Little Bear again. I watched your entire journey in 2024. I will be cheering you guys on and I pray you both make it to the end. Love to you and the family.
Thank you so much! He is such a sweet and protective son. I love him with my whole heart! 💙 And thank you! Little Bear and I are so excited and ready to go! We appreciate your kindness and support. 💙☀️🙏🏼
I loved seeing all of you doing what you love and enjoying the trail as a family. Made my heart happy to see the smiles and the laughter and most importantly, the LOVE! ❤️
Hi Bear family. Love seeing all of you out hiking together. Ya'll are such a neat family. Loved seeing Alice and Ellie. And Kira also. Such a well behaved doggo. Beautiful hike. Glad to see that at least the GA start looks pretty good. I'm sure that the trail will be ok, though very different in parts. Glad you emphasized how much the trail towns still need boots on the ground to get hard work done. Ya'll take care. Stay safe. See you on the next adventure.
Hey there! Thank you! My heart was so full!! I couldn’t stop smiling. We missed the AT! The whole GA AT is great, no issues have been reported. Some parts of the AT in Tennessee and North Carolina are still not hikeable, but it’s my hope that they will heal, too. There’s many hardworking volunteers out there trying their best to clear the blowdowns and make it safe again. The southern part of the AT will look different for 2025, including some reroutes. We’ll see! 💙☀️🙏🏼
What an amazing & beautiful, hike today! Loved the mini waterfalls! Green dragon looks like a great place to stay and chill for a few days! Glad to see you all back in the woods again! Thanks for all the help in North Carolina! Stay safe & hike on! 🥾🏕️🇺🇸🦴
It was such a beautiful hike! The first time we’ve caught the peak fall season. 🍁 The leaves were so golden and looked like they were on fire! Stunning!
Thank you so much. I couldn’t stop smiling. A dream come true! My family is my whole heart. Now, if I can figure out how to bring my oldest daughter, all the dogs and cats, it would be perfect! 😊
I know I’ve typed it many times…. Thank you so much for allowing us along. Despite some set backs in my recovery, your videos help so much to keep me moving forward. I hope your trek helped clear some of the heartbreak that your family experienced while helping with the recovery in TN. Thank you for all that you as a family do to give others a warmed heart! God bless…✌️🙂💙
Thank you so much for your kind words. It’s people like you who make doing these videos so wonderful for us. We pray for your continued and complete recovery. The short trek after volunteering did help to recenter us. And to be surrounded by wonderful friends like Donna, Bill, and Nimrod made it even more special. God bless! 💙☀️🙏🏼
Thank you for the hike, you never fail to show the beauty of trail 😊And thank you for the true information about needing people to still show up and help the communities devastated by Helene, It makes me sad that folks say everything is well when it’s not 😢
Thank you for watching. It was perfect to have my family on trail with me! I was exploding with joy. It’s sad that the mainstream media isn’t covering Appalachia anymore. The more I’ve spoken to people, I’m being told that they haven’t seen any coverage for the last 2-3 weeks. That seems irresponsible, but I guess there’s other things the media finds more worthy. That’s ok. I’m praying the last video we did continues to reach many people and will keep the need for help on the forefront. I pray it encourages others to help in whatever way they can. 💙☀️🙏🏼
@ I agree with you! My sister-in-law and brother-in-law live in Mooresville North Carolina a few weeks back she volunteered with Samaritans purse. It really touched her heart, but she has said that there’s no coverage anymore 😞 I believe God‘s got this and I know you do too. That’s what makes us strong in our faith and that’s why I enjoy you and your family so much! And by the way, it was so good to see that green pack again ❤️
@jujudavis65 Amen! Humans may fail, but God is sovereign. His love and grace never fails. Thank you for continuing to share our adventures. Stay tuned. I think you’ll be pleased with what we have to come! 💙☀️🙏🏼
You are not exaggerating. The Green Dragon is an amazing hostel. I believe the main ingredients to its success is Donna and Bill! Thanks for sharing your adventure.
Thank you for your kind words! We’re so glad you’re here! We’re so happy to be back on the AT! We’ve missed it terribly! Back in our element! You’re right about ticks. Tick checks are very important. 💙☀️🙏🏼
Ohh wow ! Absolutely beautiful!! That tree or trees going to the hostel was stunning ! And it looked like you were definitely back in your element 😊 walking the trail again !! You could really see it , which is fantastic 👏 😀 thanks for the big video! Makes me miss home. Glad that your whole family could go with you this time .( well almost ) , I've got to get up there to the green dragon ! Everyone says they love it ! Well,, thanks again 🙂
Wasn’t it gorgeous?! I wish the camera could do it justice. That’s the first time we hiked in peak leaf season. It was amazing! LB and I were so happy! And oddly enough, we both zipped through those miles. It’s like our bodies picked up where we left off. Can’t wait to get back on trail! And yes, please go to the Green Dragon! You will love Donna and Bill. Like my husband said, it’s like visiting family.
Thanks for letting us know about the need for boots and hands on the ground and how it's still needed and thank you for your part in Helping those in need. I'm glad you and the Family got to spend some time on the AT one day I hope to come there and Hike, God Bless you and your Family :)
You’re welcome. Thank you for watching. We hope to continue to raise awareness and encourage people to help in any way that we can. There is so much more help needed in Appalachia and they will need support for the foreseeable future. Boots on the ground to do the dirty work is so important. If you’re interested, Boone’s Brigade and the Cajun Navy Relief are excellent sources to go to find where volunteer work is needed. They can both be found on Facebook. God bless! 💙☀️🙏🏼
Yes!! Let’s do it! I would love for them to experience a hostel stay and a walk in the woods on my beloved AT! That green fleece is my favorite thing I own. 💚
I’m a day late getting to watch you and the family on the AT ! Your excitement is over the moon! So happy for this time all together for you! Your favorite place with your favorite people! May God Bless each step along the way!
Ahhh! Yes!! I was overflowing with joy and happiness! It was an incredible time, like you said, with my favorite people at my favorite place! God bless you! 💙☀️🙏🏼
We missed you all by a week! My husband was hiking in that area last weekend. Thank you for reminding everyone that Helene victims still need help! Blessings to you all and will enjoy watching your next hike! Hope you make it to Katahdin!
Aww, that would’ve been fun to have met! We did meet a few people that have been following our adventures, so that was a lot of fun for us. We’re looking forward to getting back on trail. Thanks for being a part of our adventures. Blessings to you and yours. 💙☀️🙏🏼
Haha, right?! Feels like that happened overnight! She’s upgrading her own trail name…stay tuned! It was amazing to have (most of) our family on trail. Just perfect! 💙☀️🙏🏼

Thank you so much! I couldn’t stop smiling. It was so good to be back on trail…and with my family! We have exciting things coming up. We’ll be sharing soon! 💙
@ i also loved Nimrod’s stories. Very interesting about slack packing! And ya i would definitely take my whole pack with me up Katahdin. Love you guys!
Thank you for this … hubs and I plan to be down in spring ( mt laurels /Rhododendrons) to do trail magic and bring some tourist dollars to hostels/ dining / hotels .

Yeah I don't know where they're getting that wrong information. Every video I watch of people that are there that are on the ground right now or saying the same thing as you that they need people to please come and help. Like you said the needs are specific as far as supplies go but they are begging for people to be the hands and feet and come and help cuz there's so much more to do. I'll have to do is reach out to places like Samaritan's purse operation blessing and that's just the name a few. Because they are still asking for volunteers there
I’ve been hearing from people all over the US now that the mainstream news hasn’t reported anything in over 2 weeks. It’s so important that we keep sharing and keep the story alive. The more people who know the truth, the more help Appalachia can receive to continue to heal, recover, and eventually rebuild. Together, we can all make a difference! 💙☀️🙏🏼

Thank you. ☺️
They are truly my whole heart. I’m so thankful for their unconditional love and support!
Missed you all by a day at the Green Dragon. I had just finished a 7 day hike out there.

We were there the last weekend of October. I just heard the same from a few shuttle drivers there.
@@wildflowersadventures Sounds like you caught the last of the color at the perfect time!
@vibelife5133 I think so! What a treat! That was the first time we’ve experienced peak fall foliage. Such a blessing. 😊🙏🏼
@wildflowersadventures I couldn't make it this year, but I've caught it the last several years at peak. @vibelife5133 no doubt you’re right on that. Each season offers the most beautiful views. I’m looking forward to seeing it in the winter!
I think they said that Sadie's pack her backpack was found that the green pack. But they still have not found her. It's the last update I have heard
So sad. 😔
I have also heard that there is a need for boots on the ground in the disaster zone. What may be going on is that people have shown up with good hearts but not prepared for the conditions or to sustain themselves without drawing from the supplies that are supposed to be relief for the locals. Just showing up without a plan is likely to be problematic. If someone is going to go, they should expect rough conditions, and should work through an organization that can put them where they are most needed and there is a logistic train to support them with food, shelter and tools and supplies.
Going with a plan is a great idea. We went, completely prepared to be self sufficient with camping supplies and food. It can be tough to get in contact with some of the organized groups because they are overwhelmed and doing the best that they can. They all have their own lives, including jobs, family, etc to care for as they selflessly volunteer. So, please be patient and keep trying to reach them. They need every one of us!
Goodness, how do all these crazy rumours get started?! So many people want to help, and so many people NEED the help! Why are they being told to go away?
I've seen on the news the absolute devastation in Valencia, Spain, and thousands of people have walked there, carrying water, food, spades, and brooms. They just turned up to help. Nobody told them to do it, nobody told them their help is not needed. It's been quite different. Although, the king got pelted with mud and eggs when he showed up...😮
I have no idea, but I was shocked when I heard this in only a day and a half and hiking such a short section. Despite being reluctant and uncomfortable to produce and share our disaster relief video, I’m glad that we did. I pray that it gets the truth out and encourages people to help in any way that they can. Those untruths need to be dispelled!
So many people have just shown up here, too. The people of Appalachia are taking care of their own, as much as they can. And the majority of volunteers we met were from all over our country. I think the issue is that if you show up they are asking that you tie in /affiliate with a group that is sanctioned ( may not be the correct vernacular here ) to work there . IMHO this is for the safety of residents that are in a vulnerable position and could be taken advantage of 😢😢.
We lost our home during Sandy and the scammers 😡that showed up for that disaster were quite newsworthy…
