- Quique Somenzini is one the most accomplished aerobatic pilots in RC history, and has spent his life dedicated to refining his flying and design skills to bring the best airplanes to the market. He was kind enough to spend some time with Juan Sanchez to chat about the start of 3D flight, his experience at the TOC and F3A World championships, the latest developments at Flex Innovations, and much more. Quique! I still have my Horizon Hobby Firebird Stratos trainer that he developed and has his signature sticker on it. I bought that in 2012... first RC plane I ever flew, and I still fly it quite regularly. Always just needed minimal repairs, even with all of my beginner crashes, and still flies great.

I believe that Flex needs to work on their support links for all info relating to each generation of plane and Aura info related to main radio brands as I had to chase info from too many sources for the CAP 232ex G2 relating to my Frsky X20s using sbus. Hardware wise, axles for the CAP were way too small for the weight of the plane. This plane does fly amazing.

Flying so deep in the stall is still very humbling for me. You can lose your model in a heartbeat
Only issue I’ve heard regarding Flex is the customer service is not that good …issue with control horns and customer service guy was an a$&. Guy had to go buy different rudder control horns for fairly new model.
