honestly, the only perfect re-design for Starlight glimmer...would be to make her colours not be just Aria Blaze's and to make her name not just a mix of TWILIGHT sparkle and sunset SHIMMER. i really feel like the show threw her in last minute. she feels like the laziest design for what is supposed to be a main character.
Sunset Shimmer is my favourite character - and I am Forever Salty that she didn't get more screen time in the core series - and I absolutely love your redesign!! The mane and the eye markings especially, gorgeous
Sorry for nitpicking but Sunset is an antagonist in the first equestria girls movie, its only the second one where the bands come in. Trixie was a guitarist in a rival band though. Love the designs!
Fun fact about Trixie: she's very nearly canonically transfem! Lauren Faust said once that a season one character is trans, and Trixie is the most likely candidate as she was originally going to be a stallion and still has the male character eye style instead of the female one
This is actually untrue, her eyeshine theory is easily disproven when you realize male and female ponies had the same one in a few seasons, also this wouldn't make sense as she's clearly got the body type of a mare, which is never seen in any males in show

How do you feel about trans trixie x alicorn starlight and sunset as sunburst's brother? Some cool characters to design would be sunburst, the cmc, the other anicorns, the background 6 (bon bon, lyra, derpy, docter hoofs, octavia, and vynal), and the student 6. Sunset and trix are tied for my favorite of all of the redesigns!

I was always confused on why people gave the ponies that tail instead of how I normally see horse tails could someone tell me?
I believe it's probably mostly inspired by the movie the last unicorn as many have likely seen it when they were younger.
