As a Commanders fan and soon to be a Hawks supporter I’ve been using Brett Favre as a Sam Howell comp. Sam is a little shorter but both are built like fullbacks. They are high school football coaches sons with elite arms. Competitive as heck. Your GM on an interview brought up Favre. That’s the best comp. Commanders passed on a Big Ben by letting Drake Maye get away. Grrrrr. East coast Washington NFL team sucks. You are blessed with a great GM. Awesome draft as usual.
Everyone just counts out Bradford. He has played a year in the nfl and is 1 year younger than Haynes idk why he gets hated on.
He isn't a scheme fit, his upside will be limited by the blocking scheme

You bring up a great point. If you include Howell as our 3rd round pick and Big cat as our 2nd round pick, this draft was an A+
Sam Howell could very well be our long term answer. His first season starting, and his play style, are similar to Brett Favre early on and I love his competitiveness and grit
Geno is clearly in the drivers seat right now , but Howell developing behind him is actually a great situation.
Would love to see him be the man!

Man I really like the two corners we picked up from Auburn!! Also I’m leaning more towards wanting Jarren Reed to start over Dre’mont Jones. I have not been impressed with Dre’mont whatsoever.

I think if Bradford can put it all together this year and learn from Tomlinson, then he could become a solid LG in the league. He doesn't have to be great. He just has to be average/little above average. He'll have Cross to his left, and Cross is definitely a solid LT. So, we'll see what happens!

I would think the guy that would be most likely to be traded on the defensive side would be Tariq woolen. He showed really good flashes his first year, but was absolutely terrible in his second year. They might be able to get better value from trading him because he showed good signs that first year. I think he has just as much chance as does Tre Brown or Mike Jackson. Tre hasn’t shown he can stay healthy for a whole year. That is part of the reason Jackson has been able to stay around with all the injuries in the secondary.
The rumours are Sam Howell is actually closer to being named QB1 than many think, seems it’s a battle for the job
We will only let Howell be QB 1 if we want next years 1st pick in the draft

I’ll say the floor is 8-9 and the ceiling is 11-6. Why 11-6 is because if we can gel early, and have a good defense to stop the run. We could have a chance
The ceiling is 10-7, we got a decent schedule but let's not over do it
I think they could move Bradford to the left guard spot, and have him back up Laken Tomlinson. He can sit back learn from the vet and be ready for the 2025 season. Mike Jackson probably be traded to get a late pick.
When you think about it. Schneider has a pretty good record in analyzing QB's. Obviously he did great getting Russell Wilson in the 3rd rd... but he also stuck with Gino Smith 2 years ago when everyone was sure Seattle had to bring in someone else. And he got Drew Locke as a throw in on the Wilson trade and he's grown into a decent prospect. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up supplanting Daniel Jones in NY during this season. He didn't draft a QB last year and it looks like none of them will pan out... Now he's brought in Sam Howell very cheaply... On a really lousy team where he was running for his life, he had some highlights last year.. And don't forget, even Peyton Manning put up a lot of Int's his first season...

@@sterlingbell6370 Sam Howell has only been in the league for 3 years now. He’s started 1 full season. That’s it, he needs time to develop. Sam Howell was in a terrible situation in Washington. In Seattle it’s a better situation especially with weapons.
In the 2025 draft the hawks draft a qb, if are starting new with this team you draft a new qb, cause know you have with geno.... going nowhere with Sam...

Lol everyone dogging Howell for being mediocre in a Washington franchise that is sub par by far 😂😂😂 give the kid a chance to breathe because he’s not that bad…… different coaches, schemes, philosophy, and voices. He’s going to do fine until he’s not. By then our teams fixed or closer to fixed and we can go hunt the qb we want with a good team to back him up. Easy.
How is Mike Jackson on the loser board? He's better than Trey Brown. We need to get rid of Trey Brown and put Mike Jackson at startung strong safety. When he has his opportunity he did good, especially the second half of the season. And we need to try to start Kobe Bryant as a outside corner except for putting him in the slot
Mike Jackson the SS…… he has weight and does well in coverage. Probably not able to blitz like we would want. Tre is a dawg though? He always just gets hurt and is inconsistent from time to time. His tape shows good potential and skills.
Coby isn’t an outside corner. He’s gonna get torched.
Taylor, Eskridge, Jackson, CB Reed, Bradford, Forsythe, should all be worried. None were very good last year.

We don’t need another DB even though Sauce is a boss. Reddick was good on a Super Bowl caliber team. Idk if we have that same juice that will allow him to thrive the same resulting in a waste of a DK trade.
We would need a WR1 in return. Maybe the smarter move is to package future 1sts and DK for Justin Jefferson. Upgrades, not downgrades 😊
