There are many type of solubilizes - but you are using a carrier oil - min. would be poly 80, NOT 20 from this group. If alcohol - you need to use more... can't use the same proportions for the same thing necessarily as you can with this test. For clarity - you can also use heat to help with that. Not all oils will solubilize well either, other than small amounts and some will remain cloudy depending on the product used. Note: Caprylyl Capryl Glucoside works quite well as does FO/EO Modifier by Wholesale supply plus

@avanti2762 EO's will dissolved with that much alcohol. Dissolve oils (stir) in alc first - then add water (stir) - no heat with alch. No other soluablizer required. You will have to let it sit for a while to meld the scent- I assume this is a perfume?

I bought pure fragrance oils from candlemakers store. I want to add it to my vaporizer diffuser that uses water. Then you add the fragrance oil to the water, plug it in, and it's produces a fine steam Mist that comes out and scents the air. Problem is, that I put the water in the diffuser, add the oil and the oil sits on top of the water. It's very thick. What would I add to it to make it water soluble? Poly20? Or a modifier? And would I add water then to that mixture along with a preservative? I don't know the formula. Please help

Polysorbate 20 will always form a milky cloudy solution, there is no fix for that. That is common with this ingredient. Sadly, it won't come clear. The same applies to almost all polysorbates (20, 60, 80)

There is nothing called thick body oil. You are either referring to a balm or salve. Add an emulsifier to you oil, then you will have a balm. The formula is up to you to decide if you know cosmetic formulation.
Preservative are added in the cool down phase if you will be heating your ingredients. You can add it anytime if you are not heating any of your ingredients. Take care

your carrier oil and essential oi is 18.5ml. Use 18.5ml of PEG 40 and mix together first before adding water.

So In percentage I can make it 3% vitamin e and 6% solubilizers. Perfect
You have to calculate everything it has to be 100%. Remove the other phase from 100% and the rest is your water phase.

What are the parts for making diffuser oils.?
Diffuser oil doesn't need to be solubilized. Just put some drops of essential oil and you are done.

Yes you can use Tego solve 61 to solubilize your essential oil.
Some of these aren't exactly "green". The Polysorbates are petrochemicals and not natural materials.
