    There are many type of solubilizes - but you are using a carrier oil - min. would be poly 80, NOT 20 from this group. If alcohol - you need to use more... can't use the same proportions for the same thing necessarily as you can with this test. For clarity - you can also use heat to help with that. Not all oils will solubilize well either, other than small amounts and some will remain cloudy depending on the product used. Note: Caprylyl Capryl Glucoside works quite well as does FO/EO Modifier by Wholesale supply plus

      Hi, if I make a spray with essential oil, distilled water and denatured alcohol, do I need a polysorbate? Can you suggest which one?
      My recipe is 55 g distilled water, 40 g denatured alcohol and 5 g essential oil .

    • @sarine6237
      @sarine6237 Год назад

      @avanti2762 EO's will dissolved with that much alcohol. Dissolve oils (stir) in alc first - then add water (stir) - no heat with alch. No other soluablizer required. You will have to let it sit for a while to meld the scent- I assume this is a perfume?

Then you add the fragrance oil to the water, plug it in, and it's produces a fine steam Mist that comes out and scents the air. Problem is, that I put the water in the diffuser, add the oil and the oil sits on top of the water. It's very thick. What would I add to it to make it water soluble? Poly20? Or a modifier? And would I add water then to that mixture along with a preservative? I don't know the formula. Please help
