Going into my 4th year running Bauer in my home shop pretty extensively. They've all held up and haven't had to replace one yet. A few are starting to act up, and these are actually the early models. The later models are holding her better in their year 2 than the brushed motors were in year two. Year two I started expanding and getting brushless tools of Bauer and different types of electric tools

Thanks for the info!, I was curious how the longevity was of the brushed drill. Still a good value for the price I think. Its nice to see HF is adding more brushless tools. I think HF will start to take market share away from the majors.

We’ve come a long way since all the box-readers were hung up on marketing lines… “compatibility between all XXv batteries and tools” was gospel and meant there was no difference between batteries, lol. Another great test, thanks!

Yeah its really interesting to see the performance difference depending on the battery. I cant wait to add more drills on this list and other tools later this year.
      Thanks! No problem!

Yea I run a lot of bauer, I have some dewalt, flex, hercules, hart, porter cable, and a big bauer selection, I love bauer,, I just had my brushless impact bauer start rattling, I had it little over a year, worked it,dropped it,etc,,, I took it to the counter, he found my 2 yr warranty, and told me to grab a new one, NO BIG BRAND CAN
HONESTLY COMPETE WITH THAT,,and bauer is truly strong enough to complete the hardest of jobs,, I'm a bauer man,,

That cordless tool is definitely benefitting from the 5AH battery pack for performance. I presume the cordless drill will just last longer with the 5AH, depends what you want from your setup.

mine's brushed and throws a really, really mean spark if you pull your finger off the trigger remotely fast. Biggest spark I have ever seen on a drill, shit is whack.
my brushless impact from them throws 0 sparks though

FACT: The brushed HAS MORE TORQUE than the brushless. 😎

Yep in most cases, they are just less efficient.
