Black Mountains, Wales best roads in UK? Epic drive!

- 14 cars, amazing roads and fantastic atmosphere! This was one of the best days I spent behind the wheel! Welcome to another meet & drive this time from distant Wales. It was my first time ever in Wales and it didn't disappoint! The weather was playing tricks on us so I'm glad my car was wearing water liking MPS4 which were perfect in this conditions. Luckily, the rain stopped for the most important part of our trip to so you can enjoy some of the amazing drone shots.

Only few days left before I set off to my another adventure in Scottish Highlands. It will be bigger than last year so I'm hoping for a dry weather.

Me and my friends are planning a road trip to Wales and would really love to drive on that road up to the Black Mountains. Which roads did you take to get there? Can't find it on Google maps 😔
Not sure if you had an answer mate but it’s the A4069. It ends at Llangadog. Is about 12 odd miles

Fabulous video, it's 10 mins from where I live. Had loads of fun up there in everything from a Fiesta Diesel to a 911. It's a stretch of road guaranteed to raise a smile whatever you're driving. Be aware that Our Glorious Leaders have now slapped 40mph average speed cams on the Black Mountain Pass though.

Roads look awesome. Are you running spacers and loweing springs? Do you have adaptive suspension?
Yes. Eibach Motech Stance and spacers 10mm front, 12mm rear. Have a look my other videos as I made videos about both of these mods
Going through that tunnel and the fastest car there was the only car making no noise at all 😆

Ah the route! well it is an excellent road trip tour, of South Wales, about 200 miles, probably 5 hours, calm like.
Motor way, A roads, B roads, town roads, Mountains roads, KEEP IN THE SPEED LIMITS, lovely drive loads of stopping places for eats/drinks.
Severn Bridge to Severn Bridge
First no M4
onto A449 to Raglen
onto A40 to Abergavvenny
onto A465 to Brynmawr
Make your own way to B4560 (mountain road) to Llangynidr
onto A40 (again) to Llandovery
onto A4069 to Gwaun Cae Gurwen (mountain road) the Top Gear Road) beware very bendy, speed limit 40mph, keep to this, it's a bad road, unlike the wews speeding, and going over the white line all the time even when there is opposing traffic.
onto A474 to Ponterdawe
onto A4967 to the M4
M4 to the Severn Bridge
Do this in fine weather you will not regret it, unlike the wews doing it in rain.

A4069 is the one where I used my drone. I don’t remember other ones as I was just following the group rather than have it in a satnav. Sorry

Those drone shots are spot on. I use my drone sometimes to film my Triumph bike and 1973 mini pickup. Videos on my channel

The powers that be have ruined these fantastic roads by putting up average speed cameras.

Revving your engine noisily, in the car park of the travel lodge, at 6am, seems a bit juvenile. Not sure I'd appreciate that if I was only holiday.
At which point we revved our engines at travel lodge? Are you referring to a cold start? That’s what modern cars do I’m afraid to be more eco friendly.

@@MDrives I may or may not have been driving!? 😉 The road has truly been ruined by the 40mph limit though. My video was shot at about 6am believe it or not. Very little traffic and you can see of oncoming cyclists, sheep and other vehicles for hundreds of metres before you are on top of them.
Sp00ks V8 fair point ;) it wasn’t too bad when we went over there. Your car sounds amazing. I was test driving e93 m3 few days ago.
FamilyDriver The V8 M3 is great, my favourite M car so far. I also had an e46 M3. I have recently swapped the m3 for an F10 M5, and I miss the high revving S65 big time! Taking the M5 to the Scottish highlands for a week at the end of the month so will see if I bond with it or if it will be up for sale shortly after I return. Hopefully I will try and get some footage up.
there are much better roads in scotland than wales,. but its jsut so bloody far to go lol

As someone who has walked all over them I personally can't stand you lot speeding through. It's free will and a free country but somehow it just doesn't go. You're like a round peg in a square hole - all out of sync here. And these weren't the Black Mountains. You were moreover on the Blorenge. Title is all wrong.
I absolutely get your point. You prefer the silence of the surrounding. At no point in this video I’m speeding, I always respect locals and rigorously stick to 30s. The noise of the car plays a big factor in incorrect perception of speed and before you ask, yes, my car is fully road legal with a factory sport exhaust.
@@MDrives Thanks for your civil reply. But I distinctly noticed acceleration in yours and the other persons vehicles. You spoke of locals so you shifted the attention away from the open roads where you step on the gas. Have a good weekend.
Theyre not roads for speeding for sure. Some high drop points. Average speed cameras now apparently
Well it was a free country.... for now tho, you will still need to suck it up. There are a LOT of keen drivers left yet.
