I rewatched the Dino/Cosmic Saga back again and its really cool realising she was essentially the main character from the start
I wonder if it was the plan or just worked out that way
I always considered her to be the main character when Dino Fury started. I love Russell's performance as Zayto, but her as Amelia felt more main character to me.
@@Unversed333 Yeah, people often overlooked it because he was originally Red, and the leader (but the leader doesn't always have to be the lead, RPM being a good example of the leader not being the lead), but Zayto was "The Mentor" from the start (Solon was tech support, "the guy/gal in the chair", not the mentor - she was Alpha, not Zordon), and the mentor is never the main character. Always an important character, but never the main character. This becomes even more poetic when you consider who Zordon appears as towards the end of Cosmic Fury.
@@BehindThePowerVFX Well, it was always planned that her character was going to have the most important arc in Dino Fury. And when you consider the entire team, Amelia definitely was the most qualified to take on the mantle of Red in Zayto's place.

My daughter loved when she turned into the red ranger. I had to explain to my daughter that there are no action figures or costumes for cosmic fury. She thinks that's weird.

My favorite thing about Cosmic Fury was one of the same reasons why I’m a fan fiction writer, wanting to see the first female red Ranger on the side of good to lead from beginning to end, still would’ve given anything to have evil Ollie not actually be evil, but be good leaning double agent Ollie.

@@KentPetersonmoney my one problem with that is is that it shouldn’t have been end of episode eight beginning of episode nine, that antidote they attempted to use on him should’ve worked, but with the other Rangers reluctant consent, he pretends that it didn’t work to gaintools/weapons/Intel for the other Rangers, think about what would’ve happened if they didn’t turn Ollie evil and had the Morphin Masters get captured before his very eyes, I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty sure that would’ve frightened Ollie out of his wits because of what that could easily mean for theuniverse and especially his team.

Samurai had the first SEMI-official female red ranger (but it was Jayden's sister, and she came in somewhere close to the end as his temporary replacement)
before that was A Squad on SPD, but it wasn't revealed 'til the end, and A squad was evil.

It's true! I've been a vendor for years. I heard her arguing. Anything going on with the green rangers true as well that's why, you will never see is them at the same time at a con together.

@@theneurodiuniversegamer9752Uh, they were both at Rangerstop only a few weeks ago (they even sat next to each other at their panel). And they both will be going to Morphicon this year.
I think this is just a rumor, because Hunter is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. People can butt heads at times. It doesn't mean they outright hate each other. As far as PR casts goes, Dino Fury got along quite well.

This was the final season of power rangers after 3 decades. Alot of shows got remakes and reboots but power ranger's(with the exception with the 2017 movie) never did because the show never ended. It started when I was 8 and was still going on in my late 30's. Think they did stop making new eposides for a couple years after RPM before making the next season.

She's living what I believed Lauren from Super Samurai would live. Either way, the story would be good. It's long past time for a woman to be a Red Ranger, but it's finally happened.

Last season fed us so much. Not only do we get out first gay couple, we also get our first orange ranger (that replaces pink and yellow), our first leading female ranger since the Alien Rangers and a more broad explanation to what the morphing grid is

@@-funzeh-2247 actually the last team to have a leading female Ranger was Time Force. Also, Fern made history by being the first female Orange Ranger, since the small number of Orange Rangers in Super Sentai are all male.

In fact she’s the second female Red Ranger because the first was in Samurai even though it wasn’t for long.

Dino Fury gave us the first female green ranger, the first canonically queer ranger and now Cosmic Fury has given us the first full time female red ranger.
All we need now is a male Pink ranger to finally have a first of every kind of ranger. Hope we actually get it sometime

We also need a female Black Ranger.
I know that right now it feels like Dino/Cosmic Fury is the last in line, the company can't make up its mind on a reboot, will she ever get to come back as the red ranger again? But look at Once A Ranger, Dimensions in Danger, Once & Always. Rangers come back. She'll be back. One day. Maybe not soon, maybe not for a decade or more, but I know she'll return as the red ranger one day! Power Rangers will change hands again, a new company will produce toys for shows like DIno/Cosmic Fury that never got toys, there will be collectibles and action figures. It'll happen. I truly believe that. Because Dino/Cosmic was too damn good to just be an ending. Cosmic was what, 10 episodes? That's criminal. It won't end here.
We shall see where Neflix decides to take it. Rumors are they are rebooting starting at MMPR.

@@Omegaslashbuster1 Those two weren't in the main credits. Charlie was an evil Power Ranger whose suit was just a military outfit with a reused helmet from In Space. Lauren was a female counterpart who barely got to do anything during her short run.

Yes, Charlie and Lauren came before her, but they weren't the main reds of their seasons. The focus was still on Jack and Jayden and they were the reds being promoted on the merch.
Amelia's the first female red that's, relatively speaking, treated the same as main male reds have been or at least she's the closest out of the three to it. (I say relatively since Cosmic Fury's been light on the merchandise)

@@Autumnfurry2099 Depends on whoever takes up the series in the future. I do hope they forgo any reboot plans and just continue adapting Super Sentai, even if some of the new seasons are getting harder to adapt.

Also what if mighty morphine power rangers 1995 movie had another go but for a different year but with the cosmic fury rangers take their place of becoming those rangers but when green and white rangers are both in that movie the first one only had six rangers instead of seven with white ranger as leader but this time they know what to say to transform if they have green ranger this time they say green dragon and white tiger but the rest say their normal transformation word and this time seven rangers could be in that second round of that movie but this time the green ranger is with them and his ninja animal is a shark

@@BehindThePowerVFX Though ironically Cosmic Fury itself was only a half-season, meaning Amelia had Red for only 8 episodes (she's still Pink in the first 2), which isn't that much more than the 5 episodes Lauren appeared in in Samurai. I really wish Cosmic Fury had been a full 20-episode season. I loved what we got, and the pacing was phenomenal, but you can see there was certain story arcs that could have been something much more great if we had had more screen-time to work with. In particular I would have loved to have seen more combat scenes with the Zenith Ranger, to fully showcase his combat abilities. I think we only get 2 in the entire season.
@@KotCR Netflix was actually open to doing a full 20 episode season, but Hasbro opted for 10 episodes so they could wrap it up in 2 months. (Probably to accommodate some of the actors, like Kai Moya who had schedule conflicts that forced them to have his character spend a majority of the season as a bad guy. One storyline they planned was for Fern and Izzy temporarily break up because Izzy's overprotectiveness was starting to rub Fern the wrong way (you can definitely bits of this plotline midway through the season).
Yeah, it is one of the few complaints I have about the season but I still think it turned out great.
@@officerrebar3839 Well, the first was an evil Ranger, so we doesn' necessarily count. As for Lauren, she only appeared in three episodes, and wasn't considered the main Red Ranger.
@@Unversed333 Tommy was evil multiple times, but he’s still considered the greatest Ranger of all time. The Red SPD A Squad Ranger was still a Ranger. The team turning evil doesn’t discount the fact that they weren’t always that way. Everyone considered them heroes, so that must mean they did a lot of good before becoming traitors. As for the Red Samurai Ranger, it’s stated in the awful season that Lauren was the one who was meant to be the Red Ranger, and her brother was filling in for her until she was done training. Then you also have the first Red MMPR Ranger, if you count the comic books from Boom Studios
