    I’m in my senior year of my bachelors and I have to tell you it has not been terrible. The prerequisites were the TOUGHEST in my opinion!! It’s about time management!! I study heavily during the week and light on weekends so I have time to go out and have a social life. Can’t wait to be finishing up this spring :)

    • @bry2940

      I know this is a old comment and you are probably and great nurse by now, but may I ask how many hours a week did you study?

      I was literally just saying tonight that I’m going to delete my social media! Just to not have the distraction but also because you don’t want future employers seeing things on your social media that might not be well perceived. Know what I mean?

    I study one chapter per day . The amount of information isn’t something you can read and learn all in one or two days . You need to study and re study because at the end of the chapter you prolly forgot the first chapter . Also you can study critical thinking, you learn and put it together to make the right choice

    Did you go to college before going to a nursing school? This is my biggest struggle right now. I’m in college right now(community college) trying to get into the nursing program here but it’s not moving fast enough for me so idk if I should go to a 4 year school and work towards my BSN or go to a nursing school? What type of degree do you get after nursing school? I heard just a diploma not degree? Please Please get back to me if you can 😊😊

    • @PrettyKay00
      @PrettyKay00 5 лет назад +6

      Hey babe not sure if your question was answered but "BSN" (Bachelors in Science of Nursing) is the name of the degree you'll receive after completing a 4 year nursing program. You will be an RN with a BSN. Or you can go thru a 2 year nursing program and you'll receive an "ADN" (Associates Degree in Nursing) and you will be an RN with an ADN.
      Starting out there is NO pay difference between an ADN-RN and a BSN-RN however most hospitals want you to go back for your BSN. I recommend applying to a few different nursing programs that way all of your eggs are not in one basket & you have options.
      There is no difference between a 4 year school and a nursing school. "School of nursing" is simply a title.
      You can either go to a community college and get a 2 year nursing degree (ADN) or a 4 year nursing degree at a university (BSN).
      I really hope this helps!

    • @PrettyKay00
      @PrettyKay00 5 лет назад +1

      ANYTHING is possible!!! Nursing school is EXTREMELY difficult! It is very time consuming however I've seen people work full time and be a wife, and mother & finish nursing school. The best advice i can give is to look into student loans so maybe you could work part time and go to school. I know a lot of people don't recommend taking out loans but i just finished nursing school & i couldnt have done it without taking out loans. I was able to work as a Nurse tech as little as 2 days a month because I saved my loans & used them to pay bills and focus 100% on school! Good luck
