The crux of the Upadesha given by Lord Shiva to ascetics as composed in the words of own experience by Bhagavān Ramana Maharshi in the form of well-designed verses answers the ultimate enquiry (Who am I?).
In this talk, we also have
• A short and sweet, well-tuned verse-wise revision by Swāmī Aparājitānanda jī. He inspects the mind thoroughly and comes out with the straight technique to witness and conquer it.
• An advice to observe the mind minutely until Consciousness alone shines and the proof of eternal Existence.
• A separate explanation from a different angle - the technique to separate entirely object from Subject (movie theatre example).
• Sat Chit Ānanda is only one nature of Consciousness and only one Consciousness exists (verse 23).
• Concept of God, God-vision and our relationship with God clarified by the equation/theorem of Mahāvākya and example of ocean and wave (verses 24 & 25)
• Hanumānjī's famous prayer which proves all philosophies right from various standpoints.
• A special meaning of "Vision" explained most clearly and a brief note on God-vision in Purānas (verse 26).
• An easy, simplified explanation about how Self-Knowledge is different from worldly knowledge and worldly ignorance (verse 27).
• Swāmījī makes us notice that right from verse 1, Ānanda part is the answer to key question of quest for happiness. That the concept of Bliss is beyond bondage and liberation is easily understood by the metaphor in lion-sheep story (verses 28 & 29).
• One who attains divine joy by virtues (Bh. Gītā Chp.16) is fit for this Knowledge and Moksha and liberates others also.
• Even while explaining the Ultimate Tapas, Swāmījī warns us about Spiritual Sādhanā itself becoming an obstacle if ego does not fall (verse 30).
