For me, this is the real prog rock / prog metal of this century. Not only strong inspiration of prog bands from the previous century with top technique, but innovation, creativity and courage (which also requires musical prowess, independently if they play faster or with wierder chords or, like here, if they don't).
Asger is like five different singers and a guitarist in one and I'm here for it. So looking forward to listening to the whole album for the first time!
10/10 song. Hearing a lot of Korn sounds in this one, and I'm loving the melodic exploration I'm hearing so far from the singles. Tomorrow will be a good day.
Loving the electronic sound VOLA is playing around with more. Its like the beginning of a new chapter and Im powerfully curious to see where it goes. However, how dare VOLA, my favourite band, tour with all my other top artists all at once BUT NOT GO TO CANADA. Im hurt.
I feel like they're testing the waters with heavier vocals. We saw a bit in Witness, and even more here. I think if the heavier style gets good reception they may lean into it more and we'll hear even more harsh vocals in the next album.
The synths in the chorus are phenomenal. So bright to contrast the macabre vibe from the verses, but not too bright where it feels disruptive. This is lovely.
Bleed Out is actually my favorite song on the album, i love it so much! Damn the dissonance after the breakdown with the clean melodie, and the solo vocal part, i can't stop listening this freaking Album! So glad I got the Vinyl at the cologne show.
Holy smokes. A Halloween bonus beyond measure. So stoked you're coming to the States yet again. Gonna see y'all in a fourth city come spring -- and maybe a fifth...
No se si entiendan mi idioma, esto lo escucho en mendoza, argentina 🇦🇷 que gran banda son.. sin dudas, es espectacular su banda, saludos desde aca 🇦🇷 argentina
Those bends on the second part of the breakdown are really interesting and effective, the sort of subversion you get going back to a "comfortable" progression is amazing. Great writing!
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed that you aren’t the headliner on this USA tour with Intervals. Saw you last year and it was one of my favorite concerts ever. Hope you do another round in the USA as a headliner. You guys are cream of the crop, you deserve the top.
I'm literally travelling from Ontario, Canada to Boston to visit family when they play in Boston. First time my girlfriend gets to see them and second time for me. They DESTROYED Toronto when I seen them. I see your logic, bur I still feel like they'll smash it regardless.
Nicholais groove that moves your rump. Martins synths that warp around and through the essence of the track like glue. Asger again with his quotable lyrics & prime delivery, showing restraint/ release and Janzi emotive visual drumming paired with the evolution in his playing style Pits are going to get tribal with this one, come tour🫡
I hate that I've been losing hearing since I first heard this band...which was ironically just last summer. Getting harder and harder to hear words, pitch, tones, dB layers etc. But my god I know this shit sounds amazing...it's just like someone watching you in the dark and the hair on the nape of your neck stands up. I just wish I could be a part of this with 100% clarity. It's been such a long time since my time exploring music as diligently as I used to but there are so many parts of this song that reminds me older artists and I'm so here for it. It's both wonderful and triggering cause it reminds me of better days. But thats what music should do regardless of the situation, evoke something within you.
Please keep being nothing shy of amazing these few new tracks have been very heavy and im hear for it yall just keep getting better and keep the breakdowns coming 😁
Probably my most listened to song off the album, and my favourite off the album, and potential favourite VOLA song, the chorus is simultaneously dark and almost haunted sounding, and uplifting and happy at the same time, and that breakdown aswell, probably the first time VOLA have done a proper breakdown, and they still executed it amazingly, and its also great to hear asger growling a lot more on this album, i prefer his cleans, but his growls are amazing this song shows the best of VOLA imo, i hope the next album after this still has at least some FOAP elements
Outta no fuckin where damn... This album is gonna be so good 🔥🤘 What better way to spend my flight tomorrow to Norway for Sunday's shows than listen to the whole record on repeat
I will see you guys in Tampa, FL next March. Today sucked waiting for the rest of the new album but this helps. I'm a new fan and you guys are amazing. I'm obsessed. VOLA sounds like no other band I have ever heard. Love you guys!!!
These guys are continually pushing the envelope of Greatness........and a very noteworthy point: they sing every song using their 2nd language! Pretty Phenomenal.
Your last two albums have been in constant rotation since they dropped. I can already tell Friend of a Phantom will be too! See you guys in Charlotte 🙌
Thank You Vola, You're Amazing!! I can't understand why i didn't find this band many years ago, but so happy i found it this year!! Vola is my new favourite band in 2024, together with Orbit Culture, Cypecore, Scar Symmetry, Persefone, Hamferð and Earthside !! Borknagar will soon release a new just saying :) Keep up the Perfect Work You Do Vola and CO. Know You make a Much Better Day for So Many People, and Pets :)
Mistic, powerfull and empirica song, Bravo VOLA, fantastic album , good trip and vibrations sounds with pure and curative energy,, amazing work, congrats and hugs from Portugal.
@@teletrone1554 I know mate. But Vola never made Djent. They do progressive metal, but not Djent. We both love the same thing here, we are not enemies. But still there is no Djent here 🤷🏻
@@teletrone1554 Yeah, because probably someone like you wrote the article :) Having an influence is not the same as performing it. Listen to their last 3 albums, where do you even hear one part of Djent? I mean, I am not here to argue. Call it whatever you will. But between Vildhjarta and Vola are whole worlds, and one of those is truly Djent. However you call it, have a great day and enjoy the music
I see new VOLA and I click. This is free serotonin.
True!
best description of this band
I hit Like, then listened. Zero regrets.
Same same
Did exactly the same thing
Haha me too 😅
Same!! 😂😂😂😂
Same
This band never made a bad song
So true❤
I don't like pop, but when Vola does it, I do.
I don't like trap, but when Vola does it, i do.
This band is incredible, period.
It is not exactly pop tho
@@killerDcruz I don't know exactly what it is, but it's a great random encounter for me.
Best song on the album so far, the breakdown is incredible
Hollow kid, absolutely insane 🤘🤘
I GOT THIS FROM A RUclips AD?? HOW PERFECT IS THIS SONG?
You should check out their others. I recommend anything off the Witness album.
This is my favorite chorus hook of the new singles I have heard thus far!
I think this might be their best chorus ever!
This new album is one of the best things that happened to 2024
This is next level VOLA
Exactly, they get better with each album and the phantom is just phenomenal. From start to finish
The chorus is HUGE! Amazing song. Vola is the best.
DEFINITELY did not expect Asger to scream on that heavy part. Good song, guys!
I just don't understand. They nail it every single time. How to consistently put out something creative and amazing, please?

The vox on this album are superb
This is a band hitting on all cylinders, they just work so well together coming up with great melodies and progression.
This track is the best of the new album
10/10 song. Hearing a lot of Korn sounds in this one, and I'm loving the melodic exploration I'm hearing so far from the singles. Tomorrow will be a good day.
Thought I heard Korn too.
Good catch, there’s a lot of Korn in this. Not a bad influence to have.
@ These Black Claws also had some Korn feel in the verses
Loving the electronic sound VOLA is playing around with more. Its like the beginning of a new chapter and Im powerfully curious to see where it goes.
However, how dare VOLA, my favourite band, tour with all my other top artists all at once BUT NOT GO TO CANADA. Im hurt.
Shhhh. Canada is a myth.
I missed these harsher vocals! Gonna love the whole album, very Vola, much metal
I feel like they're testing the waters with heavier vocals. We saw a bit in Witness, and even more here. I think if the heavier style gets good reception they may lean into it more and we'll hear even more harsh vocals in the next album.
@@Grasses0n Have you delved into inmazes yet?
@DarkLordeee oh yeah I love that album. That one does have some heavy vocals too I think. I don't remember Applause having any though.
The synths in the chorus are phenomenal. So bright to contrast the macabre vibe from the verses, but not too bright where it feels disruptive. This is lovely.
one of the most amazing songs ive ever heard
Seeing them live tomorrow in Munich ❤
Today in Hamburg ❤🥳🥳🥳
Constantly playing in my head! Witness was like a drug to me and this song just tickles so many neurons in my brain!
i literally cant stop listening to this song.
So excited about this album dropping tomorrow on my birthday. VOLA is my absolute favorite.
We were born one day apart. Happy early birthday!
Hell yeah that’s a perfect birthday present
@domjfante8140 kind of cool that this song came out the day before my birthday and the first lyric is we were born one day apart.
Best Bday gift ever! Happy birthday!
@@thrive207 love this comment
I think this about memories of toxic past connection that has drawn a lot from you & still continues to.
That's also my latest experience so I'll give this track more tries.
The intro reminds a little of "These Black Claws". VOLA never misses!
This song makes me both so sad and happy. It's amazing, Thanks from France. Another MasterPiece from VOLA😔❤
Bleed Out is actually my favorite song on the album, i love it so much! Damn the dissonance after the breakdown with the clean melodie, and the solo vocal part, i can't stop listening this freaking Album! So glad I got the Vinyl at the cologne show.
I don't want to understate this, but this album is an ethereal and emotionally groovy miracle.
hits so hard, with a catchy groove too. No one sounds like VOLA.
Almost as hard as me
*sees a new VOLA video upload
"Hey, hey"
*Presses play
"Hey, hey"
😳😅🎶🕺🏾🎶
I need it on spotify right now
Album drops at midnight so be a little bit patient :D
Sound of the song and the visual of the music video gives spooky vibes. Perfect for a halloween day drop
Can't name a band making better choruses right now than Vola is.
Let’s not forget about the verses and bridges too
@@williamkjwilliamkj1815 and the best breakdowns on the planet.
Bilmuri and Baroness perhaps. But yeah Vola choruses are so consistently good.

Leprous

I love that you keep evolving. Inmazes are so different to what you make today! Keep evolving!
Those bends on the second part of the breakdown are really interesting and effective, the sort of subversion you get going back to a "comfortable" progression is amazing. Great writing!
It acts as a reversion
The instrumentation in this track is outstanding!
perfection has been redifined

Right?! Love Intervals too but reverse that order for real
There will be more VOLA fans than Intervals fans
@ worst part is the audio is always best for the headliner. So VOLA won’t sound as good. 😢
