When I hit alt, I get the two arrows as shown in your video, but when I click to drag, it just brings up the menu (split regions/mute/copy/etc). Is there a fix, I'm on Chromebook.
thank you so much!! I just started using soundtrap because my fl studio subscription literally just ended a couple hours ago, so I switched to soundtrap, and hopefully i can still make some awesome beats with this website!!
man I'm mad right now. I didn't know it's been a year since using fl studio. I just checked my balance and I'm almost broke from spending so much on fl studio haha
I use a website www.all8.com for a bpm tapper that’s really accurate, though the metronome in Soundtrap has that function. Once the bpm is identified then you need to slide the audio left or right in the timeline until it fits. Look for the high points in the wave form to help.
That’s the effect of latency. Try sliding the clip left or right to realign it with the beat. You will want to turn off the magnet in the upper right corner when you do this, and zoom in a bit.
That is a latency delay issue. So, you will just need to slide your recorded audio back a little bit in the file. Most of the time your computer will snap move a file by the grid amount, but in this case you will not want it to do that. Turn off the magnet in the upper right corner, then zoom in and slide your audio back until it lines up. Making sure you leave as much CPU processing available on your computer as you record and have a strong internet connection will help avoid latency issues.
You’re a lifesaver with this one I couldn’t figure out how to get these samples to fit with the measures
So glad you found it useful!

I'm glad you found this helpful! Check out the rest of my SoundTrap playlist for lot's of helpful tips and tricks!
will it change the pitch/key if you do this? Thanks
Thankfully no!!!
How do you fix the latency on Soundtrap for iphone..I never understand that..
This is very valuable information.
whenever i do this, the options menu pops up and interrupts the stretch from working. I'm using a touch-pad cursor.
Sounds like you may be using the control key instead of the alt/option key.
@@RoaringRecords im using alt

I'm on chromebook so when I click while holding alt it makes me right click so I cant do it.
Do you have an option or control key. Try that for chromebook.
@@RoaringRecords ok
@@hardstruckbeatz7213 does this method work?
Did it work for you? How did you do it?
@@evd8175 it didnt work i just gave up lol
nothing happens when it hold alt it stays the same
I don’t think it changes until you are right over the lower right corner. It could also be the option key.
try ctrl + alt at the same time
why is this not even indicated on the official site. thank you man you saved my life.
It’s a relatively new feature. It is a life saver! Glad it helped you!
