      Thanks, it only took a racoon getting into the old wood framed garage and scratching my Honda NT650 Hawk's fuel tank. My wife realized it would be cheaper to build a new brick garage, than having to deal with law enforcement while I took my rifle and exterminated ever racoon within 300 miles of my garage.... ;-P

    Is that the first time you have used Motul oil? The SP1 that I just purchased is filled with the Motul 7100, and I would like to know if I should stick with this.

      I've been using Motul for about 20 years on my NT650 Hawk and on my RC51 since I picked it up(about 12 years ago) I switch to the fully synthetic oil about 4 years ago and havn't had any problems. RC tend to run hot at the best of times so I decided to upgrade to the fully synthetic oil since its a little more robust.

      DeathsStalkerRVT, thanks for the reply. I don’t have the bike on the road yet, but I wanted to make sure I was taking the best steps to keep things running good.

      Can you please let me know what kind of filter you use on your RC51.

    I have a question about the rubber hoses that are hanging (clear and black) My clear hoses are about 1/4 filled with oil? Should I unplug them and drain it out?

    • @DeathsStalkerRVT
      @DeathsStalkerRVT  Год назад

      If it more than 1/3 full I would drain it.
      Below that it's not really a problem but it won't hurt anything to drain it, just remember to put the plug back in or you could end up getting oil on your rear tire . Cheers

      I tried looking to see if you have a video of a coolant flush on your rc51? I couldn’t find one. If you have one can you please send me the link. Thank you

      @@kingcountydee Sorry haven't done that yet. I have been planning on replacing the had hoses & install upgraded fans

      Okay, I can’t wait to see what you will put in the bike. Most likely I’ll do that to mine as well. Excited for the video. Thank you again.

    Do you have to take all the fairing off.

    • @DeathsStalkerRVT

      You could remove just the Left side fairing for the drain bolt. You need to loosen the right side fairing to access the filler cap and oil filter. It will make the job harder to do trying to work around the still attached bodywork. In truth RC51 fairings are pretty easy to remove compared to newer sport bikes.
