If I wanted to make 2 & sew them together & psbly stuff it what stitch wud I use to sew 2 pcs together - I am not familiar with this so am puzzled as to what stitch to use, how to do it - any help u can give me wud be appreciated - many tks in advance.
I would use the same yarn as the appliqués and either crochet them together with a sl st or single crochet or just stitch through the last stitch of the appliqués with a simple stitch through the stitch and over the top.

Hello Helen, with the equipment I have at the moment if I go closer it loses focus. You are able to slow the video down using the controls in the bottom left hand corner.

Hi Debbie, thank you. I use a 1.25mm hook which is smaller than you would usually use for the 4 ply cotton. I think the 1.25mm is a no. 8 in US and a no. 3 in UK and Canada. Kerri
Sizes are very difficult to predict. My pattern for this week is a squirrel and I've made it in 3 different colours of 4 ply crochet cotton from different brands and there is an inch difference between the largest and smallest. 4 ply crochet cotton is a different thickness from one brand to another even cottons made in the same country. A No. 20 cotton would make the applique smaller but it may make it a bit smaller than 4". I always use a smaller hook than I would usually use when crocheting appliques because I prefer them to be tighter.

Love the bear but was wondering why so many different stitches in a single row?
I use different stitches to change the shape of the head. If I only used one stitch the head would be round, I wanted a more oval shape.
