Ye is still way ahead of Kendrick Drake, Cole in his late 40s. His artistry is a blessing to witness. He wont drop this because he's definitely crazy. 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@albertshere219 note: I do have a more drawn out paper but we ended up having to turn that in on Blackboard and I can't find it now. But here are the remnants I could find off Google Docs. So this is not the entirety but I hope you still enjoy the lower quality reading experience of this haha. Verse 2: "Seems like street lights, glowing, happen to be Just like moments, passing, in front of me So I hopped in the cab and I paid my fare See I know my destination, but I'm just not there All the street lights, glowing, happen to be Just like moments, passing, in front of me So I hopped in the cab and I paid my fare See I know my destination, but I'm just not there" “Street Lights” is an introspective track and this is West’s first public showing and coverage of music relating to loneliness, isolation and understanding life’s deeper meanings amidst the chaos of life. In the second verse, West acknowledges the transient nature of fame and success represented by the metaphor of “Street Lights” passing. The significance of street lights is that it emphasizes a sense of disconnect in his life and life moves at an uncontrollable pace and there are far too many things he was unable to experience and now it’s too late. This song is a cathartic experience. Truly encapsulating the eventual realization we all face: life is far too short, and we may end up with regrets. This song specifically created a new mental space for me, helping me understand life's brevity, especially when my grandmother had passed. I found solace within this song, it resonated with me. I realized life’s beauty was never in the quantity of years, but in the richness of the moments we had lived. My grandmother’s time was shorter than I had wished, her life was truly remarkable. The understanding of this brought a Dr. Seuss quote to my mind: “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” My outlook ultimately transformed, regardless of your position in life, wealth, status or fame. Life’s difficulties can not be solved by the superficial.
I think this is amazing except for the James Blake part. In the snippet we have from Showtime James Blake sounds so haunting and cinematic. Love what you've done with Ye's part but the robotic Alvin doesn't hit the same🙌
Lets get ready for this to never be dropped
