  • Besides the most iconic and beautiful places to visit in Crete, I have included 2 hidden gems that you should not miss. Crete is huge, not the typical boutique Greek island that you can visit in a day. Just to give you an idea, driving from the east coast to the west coast will take approx 7-8 hours.
Check out these highly suggested places to stay:
Best resort in Crete for couples: www.booking.com/hotel/gr/cast...
    Best resort for families: www.booking.com/hotel/gr/cand...
Top 5-star hotel in Crete: www.booking.com/hotel/gr/dome...
Best beach hotel in Crete: www.booking.com/hotel/gr/caram...
    Best Airbnb in Chania: www.booking.com/hotel/gr/kaste...
    Best Airbnb in Rethymnon: www.booking.com/hotel/gr/logg...
I have written also a post that I regularly update with my last findings. I have included also a map, a few restaurants I suggest for the amazing food and a bunch of organised day trips. It's a great reference guide that you can also download.

@@StefanoFerro I’m binge watching all your videos now! I was actually wondering maybe I could get some feedback. I’ll be in Crete for 7 nights in august arriving into and out of Heraklion and was trying to figure out the best way to split my stay. I’m not traveling with kids or anything just my friend and I in our 30’s. We aren’t into crazy nightlife but are super active and love cute villages with yummy food. Since I’ll be arriving from the US I thought maybe it’s best to stay in that side of the island to minimize driving while tired and was considering Elounda or Agios Niklaus for 2 or 3 nights. Then I can stop by or see Knossos as I make my way west. 3 or 4 nights in Chania or should I do 3 nights in Chania and my last night in Rethimno since i have to drive to Heraklion airport on my final day? Thank you for your help!!

@@Cristina-nq2oc i think the Rethymno + Chania options works better, unless you are after a lux stay and in that case Elounda is unbeatable. Both Chania and Rethymno are ideal for a holiday with nice beaches, activities and some casual nightlife, nothing crazy though. Enjoy your trip. It will be gorgeous!!😁
