Marc, I have found aluminum duct tape (not the gooey gray stuff) works well to protect the case when removing bezels-for those of us who do not have that great tool.

Hi Marc! I have a Sandoz Datejust with bezel that needs to be replaced. Do you think I can use an aftermarket Rolex fit fluted bezel for it? I have 34mm bezel, I found something similar online.
For fixes like that one I strongly suggest to remove the movement first and then work on the bezel. Especially when popping off the bezel “free handed” with a case knife, the chances to slip and damage the dial or hands are quite high!

Ehhh, I'm not sure what to think about a fluted bezel on a Seiko 5. Rolex gets away with it because they're the OG, but to me it's kind of an ostentatious look.

Looks like you really need to watch the chapter ring alignment when pressing bezel back on since they go in together.
There are alignment tabs on the chapter ring.
