- The FBI has officially confirmed the identity of the shooter who attempted to assassinate former US president Donald Trump as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks.
Mr Trump survived the attempt but a bullet pierced the upper part of his right ear.
The former president was evacuated from the site by Secret Service following the gunshots.
