      @@SteveBarnesAU People expect to pay employees minimum wage and still have them get the job done.
      This is because we've been importing immigrants that are willing to work minimum wage and wages aren't naturally allowed to rise until they reach the point that Canadians are willing to do the work.
      This means jobs like truckers, which we can't import cheap labor for go untended.

    • @SOP83
      @SOP83 4 месяца назад +6

      I work as a heavy diesel mechanic in a trucking shop. They pay me less than I made over 20yrs ago as an "unskilled laborer".
      The people in the shops make about half what the drivers do in many cases. I'm on call right now, on my day off, if a driver breaks down or gets a flat on the side of the road. $17hr, no overtime pay, fsla exempt, no 401K match, etc.. To become a driver one must have a CDL and any endorsements needed (ie: doubles, hazmat). This can cost $6000-$8000, many of these driving companies will pay for this if you sign a contract to work for half wage for 3 or more years. Our employee turnover rate is around 30% every 2yrs. Our company, and others, do sue drivers for breach of contract for the "loan".

    • @SOP83
      @SOP83 4 месяца назад +3

      It's also worth mentioning that the cost of a CDL was about 1/10th what it is today in the 1990s.

    The problem grocery stores are going to have is that they won't be able to keep selling fresh produce and most food products at elevated prices. Food is not like other products that people buy. Food will eventually spoil. I noticed this problem in my local grocery store last week. I bought two gallons of orange juice for $7.00. A gallon of orange juice usually costs $7.50. I wasn't sure why the orange juice was so cheap until I was at home and looked at the expiration dates. Both gallons of orange juice had expired that day. I would not have bought one gallon of orange juice that day if the store had been selling orange juice at the regular price.

    I'm sorry but, this young man needs more prep time before getting in front of his microphone. The problem is bidenflation. Prices are being gouged, truck drivers are getting out of the business because they were being overworked during the plandemic,, many reasons you failed to cover. Mostly it all centers on the keystone pipeline.

    As long as there is an influx of illegal immigrants everything will rise. Soaring prices suppose to slow things down. But, more people creates more buyers. Therefore, prices will continue to rise. Any self sufficient country with an influx of people will experience the same

    It is so hard to listen to this guy talk with his constant ummms and uhhhs. Honestly if you are a public speaker go take a speech/communications class and stop using filler words.

    Greedflation. Big oil raising prices while raking in record profits. We need a windfall profits tax, like the UK. CBN should change their name to RBN -- Republican Broadcast Network.
