@@Ira.1 please get it replaced in local shops. It's not worth as device is old and no more software and security updates from Xiaomi. And No 5G. Funnily, i got my screen replaced today itself with decent quality screen which is around 2k. It just takes 10-15 mins work.
Suggestion: please don't share passwords even if the shop guy insists to share to check the new screen functioning.

Using Poco F1 for more than 4 years and it's still a way ahead compared to many phone of 2023 in terms of technical aspects.

@@Ira.1 just make it repair in a local shop as i changed display a year ago and it definitely worth, feels like original. OG display cost would be around 1500-1800 in local market or may be less, if posible, replace its battery too because i just changed the battery as well and my poco f1's battery backup become almost double or triple.
This phone always deserve to be used as your primary device, it can easily compete with any flagship phone of 2023.

The phone you said might be good CUZ it lasted through all these years but well, even the indestructible nokia phones have never exactly died (for people who still have em, it's still pretty much usable) but it's not like you can play warzone or genshin in it + the battery pretty low, efficiency and refresh rate of the screen + some other stuff like camera and other display specs. China literally owns or makes or does a part of atleast one or every single piece of hardware everyone owns in the world rn.

Poco F1 was the best flagship killer smartphone.
Bought my wife a Poco F4 during the launch. Great device at that price point. That infrared sensor is a big advantage and that 2 years warranty. Hope this F5 will retain the same experience.

@@Ira.1 if you replace it in authorised service centre then you'll get the orginal parts but it'll cost you a bit more but if you go for a wholesale market for repair then you can replace it like in between 1500-2000 rs depending on the shop and quality of the display. If you lcd is working just broke the glass then you can replace the glass in just 600-800 rupees

That was the phone that paved the path for Poco to be a standalone brand independent of Xiaomi. Unfortunately all other poco successors were suboptimal and had numerous bugs, hardware issues.

And except 870 all other 8 series chips were never that perfectly tuned.
7 series process were perfectly tuned but far more inferior than 8 series. But that might change with Gen 2

On poco F1 right now, got this around oct 16 2018 during launch. Planning to change after 5 year completion mark this oct as from past 2 months i have noticed software failures and overheating, it happens once in a while now. Also i have done a battery change in 2021. This is a solid phone for something and way ahead of time during 2018.
I was thinking to buy S23 this weekend. Should I stop now?

I am currently using S23(256 gb). I bought it for 64k including charger and completely enjoying the mobile. The only con is that phone gets little warmer while continous usage of camera.

Still using Poco f1 Armoured edition bro. Bought it as soon as it got released in India, I think in 2018 or something. Best in software Worst in Hardware. Speakers are kind of burst, network IC is gone and I use a hotspot to use internet, got the screen replaced 7 times, the frame ia broken, the headphone jack doesn't work anymore so i use earpods, liquid cooling doesn't work anymore, the spare parts are not available in the market as it has been discontinued. BUT Istill love it so much that can't bear to part with it and buy a new one. 🤷🏻♂️

7+ gen 2 is basically a 8 + gen 1
7 gen 2 is same as 8gen 1 but with under clocked cpu and lower gpu frequency but with better thermals

I bought poco f1 way back when it is released now i changed few phones but still the poco f1 is working now my mom is using that legendary phone without a lag.
i dont think so 7+gen2 or any midrange chip for that matter will other features pile that of a flagship like image processing and simply the software optimisation
But which processor are we gonna need for AI capability that will come into play over the next few years? Make sure it has an NPU TPU on board or what? Something game changing in AI could come out anytime now and we might need certain compatible CPUs no?

used poco f1 from the launch week and only sold it recently bcoz i broke its glass.....ngl it is still way better than many of current phones
I'm a POCO F1 user, I got screen bleeding issue after warranty was void, so I sold it and bought POCO X3 PRO, suddenly after 1 yr it was dead due to firmware issue, mi service took that phone and gave me POCO X4 PRO, I can say performance is bad and ui is lagging frequently..
Im using poco F1 since 4 years + no issues at all ! I guess u had bad luck
