Hi, one question, (let's talk about the specific model astro A40 TR 2019) Can the virtual sound scenario software function (indicated in the reviews on RTINGS) called: "speaker modeling" help improve the soundstage? Is this just commercial bullshit? Can it be emulated with the use of software even if the headset itself / series does not support the function? I know that eg. the modeling of the head can have a real confirmation in the soundstage, but I can't find proof of this other function and it seems to me a bit abstract let's say. Described by RTINGS this would basically adjust the width and angle of the speakers, and this (according to RTINGS) allows you to adjust the width of the soundstage, and says that this speaker adjustment is responsible for creating crosstalk and perceived angle of the source. On a technical level, how do you see it?
Hi @randomfrankp , do you think we may get updated version of apex pro TKL soon ? Looks like prices of them have dropped recently following release of mini ? What do you think . Is it worth getting one ones or wait ? Thanks
Yeah, no, too expensive. That said, love my Apex Pro, if they make updated Apex Pro TKL or 65% one, with new switches, volume knob, removable cable, USB passthrough....better wrist rest....I would buy it.

@@randomfrankp you know how the Wooting keyboard has their lekker switch which can allow for full true 360 movement in games bassicly turns your wasd into what the game detects as a controller so it allows you to move almost truly omni directional as if you were on a controller using how hard you press on the switch as how far you would move the joy stick the Apex pro mini I bealive can detect 37 different levels of actuation there for it could convert that to 37 different levels of movement on each key preferably wasd giving you an unmatched movement experience across games that would support it.

Thanks
I need the 75% or 65% version. The 60% version lose a lot of function key this is quite unconvenient....
Bro… there’s already the tkl version
@@SUPBUG-o7m It's wired. And 75% is not TKL, well almost, it's just that all the keys are all smashed together with no spacing.
Is 140 price better for it?
Yeah, no, too expensive.
That said, love my Apex Pro, if they make updated Apex Pro TKL or 65% one, with new switches, volume knob, removable cable, USB passthrough....better wrist rest....I would buy it.
The appeal of this one is that it is wireless, but I would get a 65% instead.
danke abeh, du hast den tag gerettet...
I'd have been happy if they just updated the Apex Pro TKL with a detachable cable and stock PBT caps.
Does not matter till they bring back the merc stealth
For example if I want to change the steelseries key on meta bindings and want to put the arrow key or something else, so that's not possible right? because how I see on the video only the steelseries key isn't changeable
I have it and it’s worth the price for like mc fortnight first person shooters it’s perfect
Does it connect with a ps5?
Do you have any information about SteelSeries prismcaps fitting the board? I've just ordered my apex pro mini and would like some pudding keycaps to go with it but obviously finding something compatible is hard when it's so new
what is that keyboard on 10:10 ? the green one! it looks so nice!
the same one dummy
9:40 Still not optical switches, please get it right because it it would change everything and it would make it would be a no-brainer to buy the keyboard!
they are hall effect sensors, why would you want optical over hall effect?
Just picked up the G915 tkl. Not looking back.
2:13 That looks so much better
Which would you recommend apex pro tkl or apex pro mini
this looks just like the corsair k65 i that is what i use shoul i switch to something else?
just got a critical firmware update
now the z key cant be selected to be illuminated ... lol
so its unlit on an rgb keyboard
or prism dosnt work when you pess the steelseries button half the keys turn orange ????
but this is uneditable ... lol
Disappointed they didn't add a 360 movement feature depending on how hard you press down on wasd you could have 37 different levels of movement on each key in games would be the selling point of the century
Not too sure what you mean
@@randomfrankp you know how the Wooting keyboard has their lekker switch which can allow for full true 360 movement in games bassicly turns your wasd into what the game detects as a controller so it allows you to move almost truly omni directional as if you were on a controller using how hard you press on the switch as how far you would move the joy stick the Apex pro mini I bealive can detect 37 different levels of actuation there for it could convert that to 37 different levels of movement on each key preferably wasd giving you an unmatched movement experience across games that would support it.
@@Prissom Ahhh yes gotcha!
Well they did add rapid trigger
newb to the keyboard scene but aren’t you paying for the ability to custom each key’s actuation? cause that is why i want this keyboard.
can this do per key rgb? why can’t companies are do like a mini num pad/arrow keys on a 65%?
I ain't gonna work a whole 2 weeks for a keyboard but it looks and sounds amazing
go with a Wooting 60he 😍
Yes I’m ordering mine today but will keep apex pro tkl too
is both of the accuation thing for both wired and wireless
Price dropped since then, got the wired verison for $140. Originally was going to get Razer Huntsman Mini for $130, but $10 isn't much of a difference and this keyboard is just better than the Huntsman Mini.
Huntsman mini sounds like a broken trampoline oml. 😭
How do you change the RGB on this keyboard ?
they should have a 75 percent keyboard not just tkl i want a compact keyboard like gmmk pro design where theres volume dial and other its just how compact it is than a tkl. i use to main the steelseries apex pro tkl but because im trying to get into a small keyboard. i get that they put tkl but i like it more as a compact
hello i recently had an issue with the actuation of the keys on my keyboard like i can't use 0.2 on the whole keyboard but instead i only get to use 1.0 if i don't want to have my ctrl, win key and their steelseries fn key permanently pressed a friend of mine has the same issue and he contacted steelseries to get a fix but nothing works
Idk what keyboard is should get i am choosing between the apex pro mini and the apex pro tkl does someone have some advice?
Do these switches have any pretravel or none?
These look like regular torx screws to me. Very common these days. Seems like an improvement over philips or hex screws.
I bought this today and must say I was a bit sceptical before I bought it because of the price, but it is a really nice keyboard if we don’t talk about that. 😊 If you are like me and don’t buy keyboard so often, this is well worth it. I play mostly CS2 and changed from Logi MX mini wireless which is also pretty nice. 😊
what would you say between this one or the hyperx 60%
Does Apex Pro software has the programmable actuation?
Is there a wireless keyboard that doesn't have noticeable latency? I use a %60 KB with optical yellows and would like something of similar speed but bluetooth... is this still a pipe dream? Anyone have some recommendations?
randomfrankp
Cual me recomiendas para jugar apex pro mini wireless o razer hutsman v2 pro??
Hey i have a question, what is the lowest actuation (0.??m to ??m) on the ape pro mini??
I'm feeling you on the 60% tho. The hassle of a function key just isn't really worth it. I've been using one for over a year and still irritates me basically because I use f keys for all my in game recording/screenshots etc. Thinking of going 84 key like the keychron k2 or similar. Should get me what I want without having to go back to tkl.
If you're interested in 75%, give the GMMK Pro a look. That's the perfect board for me and I'm very happy with it. It used to require some keyboard knowledge (they used to overlube them, so you absolutely had to clean the stabs and replace the pads for the 2 boards I got) but now they even sell them prebuilt and I believe they're doing a better job with the lube.
@@BojidarDanchev keychron q1 better
this or wooting 60he?
The stabs isnt rattling, im surprised. But still $240 for wireless 60% is kinda overprice
fullsize comming soon?
