I'm same sex attracted and have done my best to live by what Scripture and the Church teach about such matters. I can assure you these bishops are doing gay people no favours. And God forgive them for saying people like me who have suffered in this way could have lived the way we liked all along. It's a real slap in the face and is unpastoral and evil.
Good on you for making the point. Stick with what you know to be true. I wouldn't want to be in these descenters shoes when they have to answer to God for their disobedience.

As a priest in Ireland I am so concerned at all of this. For inclusion, equality and diversity to be more important to these shepherds rather than Christ and the mission of the church, the. Thank you for connecting the dots, Dr. Martin. I was shocked at the appointment of Archbishop Fernandez with his book, Healing Me with Your Mouth: The Art of Kissing. I led a double life as a practicing Catholic, leading a promiscuous life. I had a profound conversion 16 years ago in Medjugorje through the intercession of our Blessed Mother, so that book reminded me of my former life, which had pivoted from. My whole life was instantly transformed as the Blessed Mother entered my hotel room. I shed tears many nights after that night as I was awakened twice each night to pray the Holy Rosary and Divine Mercy with the joy and peace I experienced in my heart out of this world. I now have an immense love for the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. After my conversion, I had a vision of the 2 Hearts joined together to serve as a refuge for sinners. I firmly believe in the sacredness of marriage between a man and woman, along with the sanctity of life from conception to natural death. I am now praying fervently for traditional marriage and family that is under attack.
It’s a hard pill to swallow. Our beloved Church is being attacked from within. We feel helpless. We can help by increasing our prayer, our fasting and alms giving. We can’t give up. We have to be warriors in the army of Jesus and Mary. God has a plan and we are part of it. ❤ God bless us all.
I was a stubborn atheist until I met a Christian girl and her friends who lead me in a simple prayer of repentance 3 days later in a prayer meeting I looked at their faces and I could see the joy they were experiencing, so I thought I would try this. I began to copy them by saying " hallelujah praise Jesus thank you Lord" over and over, but in my heart I found myself saying " God I don't even know if you exist, but I'm sorry for the bad things that I've done and I want to believe in you but I can't, I need more proof, I want that connection that these people have, then I remembered My sister had told me about some Christians speaking in other tongues, so I asked God if that is true if I can have that gift that other language whatever it is called I will believe in you and I will follow you and I'll serve you and I'll do whatever you want me to do" Immediately strange unknown words started coming out of my mouth and I was filled with a love joy and peace such as I had never known in my life, all the heaviness all the doubt and unbelief left me I felt like the darkness left and I was filled with light and I knew 100% that God was real and I was forgiven yet I had never read a page from the bible in my life. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face best experience of my life. I asked what has happened to me, what is this language I'm speaking? They showed me in the Book of Acts chapters 1 and 2 where the Apostles of Jesus were filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak in other tongues on the day of Pentecost. I said" wow it happened to me and I didn't even know it was in the bible." That was the beginning of my spiritual journey. I surrendered my life to God and I have never regretted that decision. The first humans had a beautiful connection with their creator until they disobeyed and that connection was lost. Jesus came to restore that connection again. He's alive and well and changing lives all over the world, call on Jesus with all your heart and you will find him. " God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself"
God be with us all especially our priests and bishops and deacons who are on the front line wanting to minister faithfully and remain faithful to Christ.

As a 65 yr old catholic mother wife widow. I was blessed when I married in 1980 in Chicago where I was born and raised under the pontificate of Pope St John Paul II the Great. You felt His live radiating toward everyone. Then I found the Marian Movement of Priests and Father Stefano Gobbis book T Our Lady’s Beloved Priest Sons which is clearly a collection of interior locutions from Our Lady. She begins her messages in 1972 and they end in 1997. We are on the precipice. She gave the preparation we are beginning just beginning the sorrowful actualization and it will culminate with the triumph of her immaculate heart and the renewal of the entire world by the Holy Spirit and the second Pentecost. The mistake I think some of us make is that we don’t want to dig down and see how serious these events will be. The reason I say that is during the birth growth and attainment to adulthood, I followed Our Ladys monthly messages on the 25th of the month from Medjugorje, read the Bible, prayed the rosary BUT I made a fatal mistake I took it for granted because I did those things I wasn’t going to commit serious sin. Even though Our Lady clearly warned in Father Gobbis book that religious can fall the great theologians can fall etc etc and I found out. When she warns that Satan is out to make sure you do not get to heaven She is serious. If I fell in the late 90s how much more are we going to be tested persecuted tried and rejected and not by strangers only but by our very own family our own children who may have embraced this new world order and gender equality social Marxism because they learned at even esteemed Catholic Universities that the Bible is not to be taken literally. Not to be gloom and doom but blood war fire smoke is coming and it will be on United States soil we will not be exempt no country will be. Pray the rosary get to mass and adoration read scripture. That is the only way you will be able to endure the days to come with peace of heart.

Although I am married still to a fallen away Catholic and my children have left the church and lukewarm. I continue to pray and offer up. I too know of Fr. Gobbi and The Marion Movement of Priests. I too was disobedient to the Will of God through my marriage, my job, my children estrangement, loss of friends. Only Jesus has been faithful to me in all my losses. I have no one here on earth who I can turn to. It is doom and gloom that is coming. I have been sustained, with Joy. We MUST support each other while it is still today Heb 3:13. Doctor Martin, I saw you on "Pints with Aquinas" and have now seen this. I could almost feel your angst. I have been upset over the doings of the Vatican since Amoris Laetitiae because I feel like a new church is being created. It explains a lot about the actions taken against Tradition, traditional Liturgy, Traditional orders: why take action against tradition unless it no longer fits with modernist views of what the Church is.I will hold to what Scripture, Catechism and Tradition says. For any Church leader to publicly imply that "all will be saved", may be the most damaging thing that could be done or said, at least in my opinion. This is why people need to study the Word of God, so that they can recognize false teaching when they hear it.

How long Lord, how long? Christ made it crystal clear in warning anyone who would lead any of His little ones astray. I was praying that the Popes recent hospitalization might be a wake up call and shock him into realizing that we will all face death and that his actions are impacting over a billion believers... that's over a billion souls with some portion being mislead. We are going through the Passion of our Lord as a Church. We must be prepared and pray without ceasing.
Love the Blessed Mother! Never, ever let go of her guiding hand that will lead us to Jesus. Pray the Rosary daily for her intentions. Love her by living in the Divine Will of her Son, Jesus.

I think often of Pope Benedict’s prophetic words that the Church will be smaller in the future but more holy. It seems like this could be the beginning that will lead us to that time. God in his mercy, has lead the church these last decades into a position whereby the voice of the lay faithful often has the greatest reach and effect in evangelization and the increase of His kingdom. Thank you Ralph. I have wondered your thoughts and am praying for the Church. Please keep informing us as many are confused. I know what I was taught in Catholic School in the late 50s and 60s. I left the Church for awhile and re entered the Church after going through the Charismatic Renewal. I lean to the traditional and have met young Catholics who also are pulled toward traditional Catholic doctrine. Can all the Saints have been wrong or not living in the Truth? It is difficult to stand. I choose to stand with all the Saints in Heaven and the doctrine I was taught, no matter what the world or trends that sadly are happening in the Church.

Although I am married still to a fallen away Catholic and my children have left the church and lukewarm. I continue to pray and offer up. I too know of Fr. Gobbi and The Marion Movement of Priests. Ironically through my husband. And now we are in these times Our Blessed Mother speaks of. Let’s continue to pray the Rosary, pray for our Holy Mother Church, Pray, Pray, Pray for our Priests. 💙

Doctor Martin, I saw you on "Pints with Aquinas" and have now seen this. I could almost feel your angst. I have been upset over the doings of the Vatican since Amoris Laetitiae because I feel like a new church is being created. It explains a lot about the actions taken against Tradition, traditional Liturgy, Traditional orders: why take action against tradition unless it no longer fits with modernist views of what the Church is.I will hold to what Scripture, Catechism and Tradition says. I will hold to Jesus Christ and Our Lady, and I will try to bring as many as will hear Jesus to His side. God bless you. God bless us all.

How long Lord, how long? Christ made it crystal clear in warning anyone who would lead any of His little ones astray. I was praying that the Popes recent hospitalization might be a wake up call and shock him into realizing that we will all face death and that his actions are impacting over a billion believers... that's over a billion souls with some portion being mislead.
We are going through the Passion of our Lord as a Church. We must be prepared and pray without ceasing.

I think often of Pope Benedict’s prophetic words that the Church will be smaller in the future but more holy. It seems like this could be the beginning that will lead us to that time. Thank you Ralph. I have wondered your thoughts and am praying for the Church. Please keep informing us as many are confused. I know what I was taught in Catholic School in the late 50s and 60s. I left the Church for awhile and re entered the Church after going through the Charismatic Renewal. I lean to the traditional and have met young Catholics who also are pulled toward traditional Catholic doctrine. Can all the Saints have been wrong or not living in the Truth? It is difficult to stand. I choose to stand with all the Saints in Heaven and the doctrine I was taught, no matter what the world or trends that sadly are happening in the Church.
