Excellent information, thank you!!! This is just what I needed. I’m going to order the MIDI Captain immediately.
Thanks for this video...I have since purchased my own MIDI Captain...
Thanks for watching much appreciated.
Thank you for making this video. I recently bought the Midi Captain to us with Loopy Pro. Did the long press work with your looper?
@@elkhornslough it did. But you have to program it properly. It’s been a while so I don’t remember the specifics.
Thanks for this video. I have purchased Midi Captain to use with my RC500, but I really have trouble understanding the beginning of the video regarding setting up the pedal to work with the Boss. Since will be using CC's only, can I not use one of the presets? There is one that assigns all the switches to CC's.
Cheers, Vic
It’s been a while so I’ll have to watch the video and refresh my memory.
@@JayceAllanGuitar My Midi Captain arrived yesterday and I was able to set up using Geek Mode. Just wondering if you know If I can use the spare 2 buttons to toggle the memories up/down?
PS: I set up my system exactly like you did modifying one of the presets. I need to press the buttons twice to get them to work.....same in geek mode. I notice with yours only one press?
I think you need to make sure you're not set to toggle or momentary on the switches, I forget which setting. Toggle holds the button on and doesn't switch it off until you press it again. Momentary, the button is "on" as long as you're pressing the button. I can't remember if you can program the spare buttons or not.
@@JayceAllanGuitar Sussed it now. It was Geek Mode which is rather limiting in switch response. I went into the Presets like you did and set up accordingly. All works with one press now.
Some of the assignments I set (mainly turning Snare, H/H off & on) I had to reverse the max/min values to get to switch alternate on & off.
I had 2 switches left over...what to do? I noticed rotating the knob in the middle switched memories. Further delving into the Global setup I figured how to assign Banks Change to the switches so I can now toggle up/down the memories. Had to set PC attributes for the 2 switches similar to CC's. Really chuffed I got it all working, and I can also assign my Control 1 & 2 to something else making a total of 12 assigns. Brilliant! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
Cheers, Vic
I have the rc600 and i have no idea how to connect/program the captain to it lol
I haven't used the RC600 yet. I would assume it's a similar setup.
