There’s not a chance in hell that those have been used daily for “a couple of years”. I have been through 4 pairs in 5 years. Comfort and fit are excellent, durability on the Quests has always been the drawback. You don’t even have real wear on the soles. 😂
I mean I guess it depends on how you use them, maybe he used them solely on concrete wear everyday. But yeah I've heard many negatives about salomons durability
Too heavy and too stiff at the back around the ankle, very good protection but not a military boot, you wouldnt want to run an 8 mile or 10 mile battle run in them. They are more a mountaineering boot than an all round military boot. A military boot has to be flexible comfortable as well have to have a degree of protection and be light. This boot only meets the protection category. I can see them lasting decades as they will spend their life in the bottom of my shoe rack. Save yourself €180 you can buy a pair of decent boots for around €80 that will be better than these.
Salomon quest 4d gtx. Its not full leather, and there is only this version and the one without gtx as far as I know. It just looks like full leather when its polished like this. Hope that was helpful
