Ecobee Thermostat changing temp when turning on Cooling

    That's because when you turn the system off the Ecobee no longer averages the temperature against the other sensors.

    Mine says no sensors detected and my sons room stays very warm while the rest of the house is cool, anyway I can fix this?

    I have a question. Does it have a camera in it where the red light is shining. I just got a new house with it and I'm skeptical

      It’s just a motion detector (IR?) that senses if you walk up to it so it can wake up out of its “idle mode”

      It sounds like you have access control enabled. To disable this, go to settings and click "Access Control". There should be an option to disable it.
