@@sebastyann123 I won't lie I knew Marcy wasn't a Saint or A Hero back in her day but this Special really surprised me on how she really didnt care about the lives of the Glass Kingdom that was about be destroyed. Granted from Marcy Point of View who live life as a Human kind of they must all be Mutations that really was never meant to live. But still I can't say if this was out of Character for her or not since I don't know if after Thousands of years she just stop caring.

All of Bonnies actions have been based on protecting her people out of her motherly nature. And you can kind of understand why she goes to the lengths she goes to. The candy people are helpless (which is her fault, because she made them like this since she purposefully chose not to make anymore smart people after uncle gumball betrayed her) If she didnt turn the whole place into a surveillance state, so many of her people would be dead.

@@deadbirbs its not really a joke since dictator is 3 syllables and dic is the first syllable, and unless you're EXTREMELY obvious, its normal to say DIC-TAY-TOR tator is said more smoothly because the 2nd syllable is generally more silent then the 1st in a lot of words. For example, the word "amazing" when you say it, you actually hear the first "Uh" if you listen very closely to a normal person saying it. UH-MAY-ZING. and you can notice that mazing is pretty smooth, while the "uh" is way more prominent. it's very subtle though, so subtle is basically is entirely smooth.

I just figured out that since Marceline has Shapeshifting powers
she can practically Create multiple vocal cords giving her
that robotic voice or changing it the way she wants, for a Musician that is the most broken ability to have.
most songs have the characters sing it like they should. this song was embellished. it only gets away with it because it was over a flashback so you can imagine it was embellished with marceline's emotions.
i also think its partially because the vocals for the flashback and the present day were like intermingling? you can clearly hear that one of the voices sounds much younger (then again who knows it mght be just stylistic)
@@garfieldyoufatcat2019 The higher pitched vocals only come in after the flashback starts, so I think it's meant to be younger Marceline singing whereas the deeper vocals are "present" Marceline. Also it kinda makes sense that the higher vocals have a more angry and emotional tone to them than the other.

It's interesting to me that all Adventure Time songs have the same specific feel to them, even though this song is so clearly different from all the others I've heard, there's just something at the end of the melody that makes it distinctly Adventure Time. What a beautiful show

Yeah that was basically the gist. The whole episode was an allegory for imperfection and learning to heal. They were both broken people, but they healed and grew up over time.

my theory : the reason the song didnt work is because at the time she sang it all those years ago she really felt those angry emotions towards bubblegum. when she sung it this time she no longer felt angry towards her. she infact loves bubblegum alot. because there is no more anger towards bubblegum while singing it the song would not work :3 what do you think?
yeah, could be maybe a call back to the Truth Door kind of thing, but i think that Larvo really just responds to only genuine emotion, genuine anger scared it back into the cave (larvo isolated itself after that, could be a metaphor), and then with Marcy giving a genuinely happy song, the monster responded with its own happiness
