It makes a long time man feel bad It makes a long time man feel bad When you're out all alone No letter from your home It makes a long time man feel bad. I believe my dear old mother's gone I believe my dear old mother's gone I believe she's gone On to a better land It makes a long time man feel bad. Go tell all my friends goodbye You can tell all my friends so long You can tell my friends so long I'll see you next time around It makes a long time man feel bad. It makes a long time man feel bad It makes a long time man feel bad When you're out all alone And you get no letter from your home It makes a long time man feel bad.

C F C it makes a long time man feel bad C Bb F C it makes a long time man feel bad C E F D7 when your out there all alone... C F C it makes a long time man feel bad
first two lines of each verse: C, Bb, F, C third line: C, E fourth line: F, then the interwebs say D/f#, but I don;t know that one, so I tend to play C final line: C, F, C
Nothing good can stay your leaving makes a long time man feel broken cast away into the deep I'm believing my lovers gone to a better land makes this long time man feel sad goodbye my old friend yet another has left to the promise land and gone from this land of sorrow and regret coupled with anguish high anxiety and grief that pervades the emptiness of all new horizons' avaricious greedy games of one upmanship but when you're all alone everyone knows nothing good can stay we knew you could not stay a whisper from afar came to me so we watched you drift away remember we loved you dearly in the sun and the rain goes the day thy kingdom come what more to say its a long journey coming when nothing good can stay.
It's a privilege to hear this-live- but listening to it, one has to be surprised that Bob Dylan became the most famous folk/rock singer -songwriter in modern history. By far. Very rough to say the least.
F is a 4th above C so that would be my guess too. Since blues harp is like that. An A harp for blues in E and so forth. Now I either gotta buy an F harp or tune my guitar down a half step and use an E instead

Still it not that hard to spot his amazing talent. Everything he became later is right there.
wow where can I get this version? its brilliant!
7 years late but you can get this whole interview/album on vinyl
These are awesome, how did you get these?
does anybody know what key his harmonica is in?? i played it in C but it doesn't sound the same... new to music theory...
+alex pitman I believe a harp in the key of F would work for this song.
+alex pitman hold a guitar tuner up to your speakers
