@@SMN-ct9gl well the superior martial art that is most used in mma is usually a mixture of muay thai (a version of kickboxing) and wrestling for when they are on the ground. So yeah definitely a lot of "real" combat training comes from eastern asia.

The story of Ip Man really ends well and it is so sad to finally see the end of the legendary master. RIP Ip Man. Bruce is epic in the movie and now we'll see how he carries on the legacy!
unfortunately - the truth is that many other students carry on the wing chun legacy, while bruce decided to defame it, dishonor the wing chun tradition and bake JKD out of the few years of training he had with his master pretending he knows better.
IP chun, or Leung ting - and many other students, learned longer unter ip man, and worked harder for the art,
and they created kung fu dynasties following ip mans teachings far away from the limelights. Bruce was cool, and i like him. And fame and wealth does not make what i said untrue.
And here we are, a practitioner of the art on one side, and a bruce lee fan on the other side. Whom will get more flak i wonder 🙂

This is one of those film series that you recommend when introducing someone to its genre. If you love martial arts films, it’s a staple that must be watched! What makes it a classic, in my opinion, is not just the action (which is amazing in Ip Man), but rather its ability to express the true spirit of the martial arts! Why do we train? When is it okay to fight? How does martial arts bring us together as people? What is the true meaning of strength? These are the kinds of questions we get to explore as we watch these kinds of films. It shows us a path of self improvement we can all walk in our own way. Really enjoyed the 3 films we’ve had I this series thus far! Looking forward to Ip Man 4! 🐉
