I belive the main route difference is if you keep Kanna and Reko alive, that is the emotion path, and keeping alice and Shin alive is the logic path, which so far only causes dialogue differences as well as Sara's own mentality being diferent as on the logic route, in chap 3 if you choose the we will all get out of here together option the text that follows will be different suggesting that eventually it will cause an ending difference.
I think he has an inferiority complex cuz he's always being protected by everyone and seeing them do all the work, like the beginning of the game, he was more fearful and everyone had to be with him, also, he said something like "and you all say that i can do nothing!".

It was likely Ranmaru, who was injured earlier. It's possible that he survived the first trial but was seriously injured. So he could not follow the main game and was treated in the room. This is only a theory. I'm not so sure about Mai. She's also quite suspicious. 💃

I can't be the only one who thinks that the policman that Keiji looked up to is Joe's dad right? The man's the spitting image of him and the timeline seems to match up.

You don't see that much hate on Sou or Nao, who wanted to sacrifice everyone so they could survive, yet Qtaro gets all the hate. It's unfair. We literally saw a video of Mai getting her head blown off by a gun though, that was definitely not a doll since blood came out. I also don't trust Gin, I think he used that weird First Trial room to abandon Hinako, indirectly killing her, but I don't think he has Mishima's head, and what Toasted said, Gin got pulled up, so he has a collar.
Mai's gloves are still with Ranger while all of the dolls have complete replicas of their original clothes. I think that's a good case for Mai's humanity.

Whenever i vote for kanna, I get the beautiful cutscene with joe and sara saying goodbye, but then it doesn't give me an option to save and just kicks me back to the title screen and i cant get any further than that, is that just me?
Uhh I think that’s just you. Just start playing from the beginning of chapter 3 (There are checkpoints saved in the game for the beginning of each chapter part), and just say Sou died and you can play Kanna’s route. Vice versa if you want to play sou’s route also.

SPOILERS GRRRRR So, we know Hayasaka's line: "Hoo, boy. A kid..." What if that wasn't a reaction to his responsibility of Gin, but him knowing he'll have to kill a kid. Also, the pairings are pretty cruel, given what the dolls have to do Ranmaru and Sara: Two kids the same age, Sara even felt connected to him from his victim video. Hianko and Keiji: Hianko is in middle school. She's paired with a buff police officer. idk how she's supposed to do that :/ Hayasaka and Gin: Hayasaka reminds Gin of Mishima, somebody who filled the role of a father figure for him. He'd have to be betrayed as what he sees as a father figure. Mai and Q-Taro- Qtaro seems like the type to get charmed easily. We even see that. Mai's betrayal was overcome in a good way, but still, it's cruel as hell Anzu and Eko: Anzu, the seemingly weird or exited one being pared with the hothead? the hothead who can fight? I wanna know what she was thinking tbh that's it lol

I honestly don't think it's fair calling the Kanna/Sou routes as the emotion/logic route. Since I personally don't think it's a good assessment of both routes, plus I don't see the game favoring emotion or logic at any point.(it akways felt neutral between the two, even in both routes) I personally think each route represents the character of each route. Sou route: Sou/Shin isn't very trusting, especially after the events of the last main game and losing the one person he trusted. So it makes sense the Sou route is filled with mistrust and doubt. Kanna route: Kanna is more trustinh and positive, so it makes sense her route is more on the happy side, with not a lot of bad things happening. This is my opinion and I see each route represented. Its possible each route will lead to a true ending, though we just have to wait and see for what happens with the rest of each route and the official ending. Since we still don’t know how each route ends, so honestly isn't fair to say which one is better at this point. Cause the endings could change how we feel about each. Again just my opinion.
The game literally refers to the choices as emotion and logic lol. Also the game absolutely favors emotion over logic, logic is treated as the worst possible choice as said by Sara in game.

Plus with haven't reaches the end of both routes yet, so the route people think will lead to best ending won't and the route people think will lead to the worst ending won't.

The themes and characters specifically establish that a character like Sou would have a more gloomy story than Kanna, an innocent kid. Forcing in a trash dark ending for Kanna is terrible writing that ruins her entire development and chapter set up.

But now your wondering, "in this route Sara has no hallucinations, what then happens in this route?" well, I have an answer.... *the whole situation with midori and the dolls took the spotlight.* Yes, the whole thing with midori and the dolls was only there for the game, and to take away all the commotion of the brainwashing. The plan was to make as much havoc as possible, so that Sara wouldn't even have time to try and remember what happened. So? *Do you guys believe me?*

But, in NEITHER route does Sara have hallucinations, so why are you saying in THIS route as though it's something unique to this one? In the other route she forgets that Joe ever existed cause of a malicious ai Sou made, and stops hallucinating cause she can't hallucinate something she doesn't remember. Do you really think they would brainwash in her something she can so easily make herself forget? Yeah, no. The hallucinations thing doesn't make sense as a brainwashing tactic. They never tell her to do anything or try to get her to do things that would benefit the originization. All they do is fill her with enough self doubt that she can end up going completely insane and then it's a game over in that route. It doesn't make sense to me that making someone mentally unstable would be a brainwashing technique cause it doesn't make them easier to control, it just makes them more unpredictable. Also it's shown within this universe that hallucinations are a common sign of trauma seeing as how Keiji also hallucinates his own inner demons, as seen during the scene when Sara was sleeping. We literally saw a video of Mai getting her head blown off by a gun though, that was definitely not a doll since blood came out. I also don't trust Gin, I think he used that weird First Trial room to abandon Hinako, indirectly killing her, but I don't think he has Mishima's head, and what Toasted said, Gin got pulled up, so he has a collar.
Mai's gloves are still with Ranger while all of the dolls have complete replicas of their original clothes. I think that's a good case for Mai's humanity.

Whenever i vote for kanna, I get the beautiful cutscene with joe and sara saying goodbye, but then it doesn't give me an option to save and just kicks me back to the title screen and i cant get any further than that, is that just me?
Uhh I think that’s just you. Just start playing from the beginning of chapter 3 (There are checkpoints saved in the game for the beginning of each chapter part), and just say Sou died and you can play Kanna’s route. Vice versa if you want to play sou’s route also.

I honestly don't think it's fair calling the Kanna/Sou routes as the emotion/logic route.
Since I personally don't think it's a good assessment of both routes, plus I don't see the game favoring emotion or logic at any point.(it akways felt neutral between the two, even in both routes)
I personally think each route represents the character of each route.
Sou route: Sou/Shin isn't very trusting, especially after the events of the last main game and losing the one person he trusted. So it makes sense the Sou route is filled with mistrust and doubt.
Kanna route: Kanna is more trustinh and positive, so it makes sense her route is more on the happy side, with not a lot of bad things happening.
This is my opinion and I see each route represented.
Its possible each route will lead to a true ending, though we just have to wait and see for what happens with the rest of each route and the official ending.
Since we still don’t know how each route ends, so honestly isn't fair to say which one is better at this point. Cause the endings could change how we feel about each.
Again just my opinion.
The game literally refers to the choices as emotion and logic lol. Also the game absolutely favors emotion over logic, logic is treated as the worst possible choice as said by Sara in game.

Plus with haven't reaches the end of both routes yet, so the route people think will lead to best ending won't and the route people think will lead to the worst ending won't.

The themes and characters specifically establish that a character like Sou would have a more gloomy story than Kanna, an innocent kid. Forcing in a trash dark ending for Kanna is terrible writing that ruins her entire development and chapter set up.

Some people theorize that. Some people believe he's Sara's biological father. I don't think he's Joe's dad though, when Joe dies Sara says something along the lines of "your parents are waiting for you" which implies they're alive

Yes, I am saying what you think I'm saying. Sara was probably brainwashed at the start of the game, before she met anyone, while Joe was still alive. And to make up for the brainwashing, they made hallucinations in Sara's brain. Mostly of Joe. But now your wondering, "in this route Sara has no hallucinations, what then happens in this route?" well, I have an answer.... *the whole situation with midori and the dolls took the spotlight.*

But, in NEITHER route does Sara have hallucinations, so why are you saying in THIS route as though it's something unique to this one? In the other route she forgets that Joe ever existed cause of a malicious ai Sou made, and stops hallucinating cause she can't hallucinate something she doesn't remember. Do you really think they would brainwash in her something she can so easily make herself forget? Yeah, no. The hallucinations thing doesn't make sense as a brainwashing tactic. They never tell her to do anything or try to get her to do things that would benefit the originization. All they do is fill her with enough self doubt that she can end up going completely insane and then it's a game over in that route. It doesn't make sense to me that making someone mentally unstable would be a brainwashing technique cause it doesn't make them easier to control, it just makes them more unpredictable. Also how would this have even worked BEFORE JOE died. If it's the hallucinations that were controlling her, how were they controlling her BEFORE the hallucinations, and if they were controlling her before the hallucinations you already proved the hallucinations are irrelevant towards mind control. Also it's shown within this universe that hallucinations are a common sign of trauma seeing as how Keiji also hallucinates his own inner demons, as seen during the scene when Sara was sleeping. SO are you saying that Keiji WAS ALSO brainwashed and is in on it somehow? Or accept the hallucinations are merely a thing brought on by trauma?
To me it's *possible* she, and all of them could have been brainwashed in some manner since they're missing memories, but I really don't think the hallucinations have anything to do with it. I think you're way off about the hallucination thing.
