I got my wisdom teeth out a few days before this video came out and I’m almost done with basic recovery. The main thing that has helped me the first few days is putting ice on my jawline for 20 minutes, off 20 minutes, repeat. Though it looks like this is what you are doing in the video with what looks like an ice pack around your head. ALSO!!! Be careful about texting other people. Your judgement and attitude can be so badly changed from the anesthesia and pain meds. That was my experience at least, but the experience is different from person to person. I had a friend who’s worst day was the 2nd day and for me it was the 3rd and 4th. Hopefully you heal up well without any issues
All good advice I got mine done a week ago and my worst day was the day of and I didn’t eat like any food for the first few days so also make sure you eat. And the other day when I was finally not messed up from sedation and stuff I saw some of my old text and died lol
@@Not_sammm YES TO FOOD!!! I was luckily able to eat cold foods like ice cream and jello no problem which also was kinda soothing to the wounds since it was like putting a not straight out of the freezer ice pack directly on the wound. And my texts were a mix of at first stupidly funny (I literally texted my brother on repeat saying “watch text” “texting watch” because my mom had my phone and I texted him from my watch in the back seat of the car) but then later I had a friend text me that night (they didn’t know I just had surgery) and they were telling me about something and I said some seriously offensive stuff and I looked back a few days ago and basically went pale at what I sent. Good Judgement is simply nonexistent on those meds!
Pineapple juice is acid and a bit harsh. Go for something less irritating. I drank mango juice (the thicker kind) and it was perfect . Icing on and off religiously is what is really the only thing that's gonna help with swelling.
Mate.. when i got my wisdom tooth i still ate regular foods.. except i have to chew on the other side instead. Btw don't use straws or other object that requires you sipping. Because the worst thing possible that can happen is that your gums will bleed again.
I lost a lot of weight in that week cause I was sick of sweet stuff and I had some complications so I couldn't open my mouth normally for like 3 weeks. My doctor thought I had an ED 💀 No sis my jaws just wouldn't open more than a cm for a week
When you sleep it’s good to sleep propped up. My first night I had to do that and I put a towel in my mouth because when I’d wake up I’d be covered in blood. Also my crutch food was the little microwaveable cups of Idaho mash potatoes.
I didn’t eat for a week after my removal of all 4 2 impacted 2 not impacted shit hurt worst feeling ever and I was starving for a week felt shaky but I’m fine now
I had my wisdom teeth removed when I was 11. It sucked. I was an early grower. For me, it hurt for the night but beyond that it was numb and couldn’t eat anything for 3 days. I had smoothies and blended up dinner
if you're getting yours pulled, you should probably stay away from dairy (whey too) and coffee for a few days, your doc can give you the list. Healing inside of your mouth is hard enough as is and these things significantly change your saliva's consistency to where it makes it even harder, so it takes longer and might also get infected more likely
I must’ve been the luckiest getting all four of mines removed because I literally experienced no pain! Maybe It’s because I waited until they were fully grown the prices was painfully & I didn’t wait intentionally. Life. 😅😂
Bro definitely don’t drink out of a straw that’s how I got a dry socket
thank you bro
Will keep that in mind, also how can I cram as many calories into liquid-ish foods as I can? Not trynna lose the bulk
bro when you get dry socket does it cost more recovery time?
@@emmittmaximus6619 More recovery time, and more pain…
damn cuz gl with that
I hope you recover well 😌
thank you!!
