deftones/snw era are their lowest and i know that, but for some reason i feel the most closeness with this era... i dont romanticize their issues but i love this era a lot, but its like the heightened emotional tension mixed with passion and anger kind of made all of them sound a lot better. it really does bring a new level of depth. like im so serious when i say this but ive never heard chino scream with that much carnage and power than during self titled... i also really dig how all their hair's grown out. looks cute on chino especially.

Totally agree. It was dark days for them, but they also put out some great songs in that era.
