Both young men are absolutely raised right. The pitcher was so upset that he hit the batter, and the batter was concerned for the pitcher. Great young men!!!❤
yeah but sometimes you shouldn't do that. If my coach saw me do that in select baseball, I would be benched for the rest of the game. If the other pitcher is crying then that is their problem, not something we need to take care of.
This is the core of sports. It’s the reason why parents and coaches put their kids in sports. It teaches you to be a better human in every way. It allows children to experience advanced human (com)passion, well before they are adults.
Just a small reason why I have been watching since 1963 when I started in LL. This is the best it gets, and it takes children to remind us of what it's all about. Bravo.
These people these players are so sweet and they have such good sports man ship, and it take a lot to go up to a person/ other team and be like “I’m fine” “ you don’t need to worry about me you playing a great game” what happened was scary and looked like it hurt really bad but in the end turned out to be one of the sweetest things that I have ever saw in my life❤❤❤
What an incredible young man, this what a good family foundation creates, he put his pain aside to go and make sure that the pitcher was aware that he was Ok.
Great job teaching your son respect and feelings for other human beings. More parents can be like this if people only care about our fellow human beings.
That's true sportsmanship right there. I play softball and a team that was full of little kids 1 of the runners finally made it to second where I play and I gave him a high five
There was several incidents in 2024 World Series between the American and Taipei players. It heart warming to see that though there was a language barrier. Well raised players
We just played in a 12u all star tournament against a team from Hemet ca. my kid was pitching. The batter hit a line drive that missed his face by inches the batter and the first base coach celebrated nearly driving a ball down his throat. I quote, I nearly took him out of the game, and celebrate it with high-fives.
@@Fotosynthesis858 ummm, no. I played. I know from experience. It doesn't hurt at all. the only thing that got me for about 60 seconds was taking a foul tipped fastball to the Adams apple while playing catcher. I couldn't breathe for about 60 seconds, but then I was ok and back in the game catching. Major leagues is different because of the velocity and bite, but only velocities of 90+ mph is going to really cause damage and hard to react to.
This is so heart warming, the same thing happened to me and hit me in the eye and I told the pitcher I’m ok , there’s no need to cry accidents happen bud..!
I love this video Everytime it comes around I watch it few more times that kids was raised by great parents and coached by fantastic coaches this should be shown in all MLB locker rooms..I think they have forgotten..example that fight in news now where guy gets knocked out for second fir no good reason..should be heavy fines and some community service like foing and speaking about good sportsmanship to highschool teams
Y’all might not believe this, but y’all don’t have to. Caden Shelton is my stepbrother’s neighbor and is my and his best friend they play for the exact same team right now. They play for the blue chips 14 u
That pitcher has a soul of gold. The batter too. As soft as this generation has become, some of these kids really get it on an emotional iq level. Good stuff boys
OMW, seriously? No Hugs. He should have shook his hand, not a big hug on the pitcher's mound. If the pitcher is that sensitive after he sees the kids alright, hes got deeper issues.
Class all the way. This kid is a good one....
Thank Goodness he was ok. The fact that he went to console the Pitcher was due to great upbringing :)
Both young men are absolutely raised right. The pitcher was so upset that he hit the batter, and the batter was concerned for the pitcher. Great young men!!!❤
Mature beyond his years. Great show of forgiveness, sportsmanship , and character!
Great kid. Great sportsmanship.

True sportsmanship. A beautiful moment. As a fellow Oklahoman, I am proud of this young man. 👏👏👏
I went to school with him

Still one of the best acts of sportsmanship in llws history. If they don't have an award for sportsmanship they need to ,and that's the example.

Wow I think that was the most special moment when he walks out to the pitchers mound.Whatva Great Kid!
What a great young MAN this is.
Making sure everyone is ok, that’s important ❤
There was several incidents in 2024 World Series between the American and Taipei players. It heart warming to see that though there was a language barrier. Well raised players
Important to note the catcher was compassionate towards Zay also and was also concerned. Just mutual respect all around i love it
True sportsmanship on both players
That pitcher was so upset over misplacing that pitch
This was so cute and the best short I ever saw (thank you)❤️💜

We need more players like this
Raised right. Beautiful moment.
that boy was raised right
He has great parents. Obviously. Wow,what a wonderful young man
Anyone who has ever played baseball before knows this isn't a big deal and doesn't hurt.
It hurts if it gets you in t(e right spot
Any person with a heartbeat knows this IS a big deal & that adults like you should learn from their humanity.
