Mineralscapes is beautiful, even more in person. I don’t usually buy limited editions because I don’t like feeling rushed to get something on full price, but I’m glad I made an exception for this one.

😊 The blush technique is something I started doing in the 80s... It also blended my eyeshadow. Until this day my look isn't done until I go over my eyes with the blush rush

It almost pains me how perfect Sonia G’s Traditions Series is. I have twelve out of the thirteen brushes that she has released so far in the series (with the exception of the TS1 from her most recent Select set… pray for me to stay strong because I Just. Don’t. Need. It!!!) and I can say with 100% certainty that if I could only use the twelve eye brushes I have from this series for the rest of all time I’d be perfectly happy; they’re so good I have to force myself to use the other eye brushes in my collection to share the love. They’re so good that I already bought backups of my favorites (TS2&T6) so I can use them indiscriminately. They’re so good that I’d vote for Sonia G for preside-

I’ve been loving the new Danessa concealer, 9.5 balm powder shade, and the Blooming Romance palette, of course. I also like the WYN Beauty skin tint.

YAASSS! Suqqu moisture glaze lipstick is hands down the best lip product released this entire year, maybe in the past few years. The formula is next level!

Nooooooo I don't want a pastel mothership LOL 😆😅. I am dreaming of a mothership with some rich browns and mustards, steel blues, a sparkly silver and a golden shade. Throw in one pink shade to make the general masses happy. The Byredo mineralscapes palette slipped through my fingers a couple of days ago. I got a confirmation of my order during the Holt Renfrew sale only to get a cancellation notice because they over sold it. I could have cried. As for Natasha Denona... I'm just tired of her light toned mattes that look ashy on me and multiple shades in one palette that don't have enough differentiation from each other. So I'm not super excited to see what she will put out next.

Lately it’s just boring 🫣but I have faith she’ll wow us again someday 🤞🏼🤞🏼

I love your favorites! Many of them are also my own favorites. A huge shoutout to you for showing us the ease of using Danessa’s Blooming Romance palette. I honestly think it is one of my all time favorite palettes.
Edit: Yikes! I completely forgot about the Byredo palette, literally! Once you got me comfy with the Blooming Romance palette, I haven’t taken the Byredo palette out of the drawer 😮. I need to dig that baby out and start using it.

@J_loves_lu I'm 42. Dry, sensitive but mostly decent. I often just use a brush to blend. Sometimes I add it just under my eyes and sometimes I conceal what I need to without any foundation. Sometimes I powder if I remember.

Alicia, I actually have placed the Mineralscape Eye Palette as the best I own and from the hundreds of palettes I have, that's high praise indeed. As much as I adore Xenon, and still do, Mineralscape beats it put by a hair. Honestly, both Mineralscape and Flora Kalahari are exceptional palettes. Byredo really do these well. I have the ND Purple-Blue Paleete and Metropolis, yet even they don't beat it. I love muted tones and this palette resonated with me due to this. It also reminded me of the area in Australia that I live. Sorry, you can't claim the sage shade, as I have already had that in my head for Pat's next Mothership and along time ago for my own palette that resembles my niche of Australia. You can claim the formula mixed with this colour, so I suppose we can share it. It's still in my head, but you should see what I've created for Pat's next Mothership. I'm still thinking about how I'd feel about a pastel Mothership. It would be interesting, yet she'd need something to blend these with or they'll wash the majority of skin-tones out, myself included. I even designed a Mothership, in the same way that Pat always does, in Neutrals! I don't know how well that would go down, yet at least it's not pink! You and I would have the greatest time brainstorming palettes and shades. If one of us hit the jackpot, imagine the Cosmetic Company we could create together! I'm so glad that you've come to love Prada like I have. I won't give up until you've tried the Rabanne. Very different formulas, which is why I suggest it. Prada just nailed it with that collection and continue to. I hope they don't get caught up in the Limited Edition schemes. I feel that would spoil what they've achieved. I'm more than happy with Natasha's Golden Palette. I'm glad she kept it like this and didn't add the teal. No artist wants to be repetitious. Can you please do me a favour, as I'm not on Instagram. If you see that Pat has released our favourite all shimmer Mothership, coming soon, can you drop it in a reply to me? If you ever wish to contact me directly, go to the RUclips Channel of Lady Hamilton's Cottage. You'll see an address in the description box. No, it's not me, but you'll be directed my way. Only if you wish, of course. Even if we go back the last few years, just look at how spoilt we've been with the technological advances made in cosmetics. How quickly we've gone from duochromes to holographic pure metals! Although, still a young 56yrs, I've sure witnessed quite an evolution within make-up. What was a shimmer shadow? Highlighter? Who cares about brows? What's Bronzer or Contour? (They were for professional MUAs). When I started dabbling in make-up, it was only to enhance our features, not to make statements, yet pretty much keeping it simple. I owned two cars when only 19yrs old. One was a classic older than myself. I was spending my money on life and having a good time. Travel, my other love - fashion, etc. took my interest over make-up. I did delve into some luxury brands during my 20s but nowhere near the hundreds (low, if that rescues me) of eye-palettes I now own. Life is very different now and I don't mean just for myself. Teenagers simply didn't purchase luxury brands like Dior and Chanel unless filthy rich. Greed has tipped the world on its head and I've never witnessed so much of the 'keeping up with the Jone's' in my life. (If you're not aware of that term, it's about one family wanting to keep up with the other whenever they got something new, you guys may use a different surname?) It worries me reading comments when so many are proud of owning products of their favourite Content Creators. It's sad actually. You're almost at the 100k mark of subscribers and you must think of how you're perceived by those whom watch. I wouldn't wish to be in your position now, having to be careful with what you say, as so many may wish to idolise you and own the same items. I have always been an individual and never believed in 'celebrity'. To me, we are all human beings and no-one is above another for having a career that keeps them in the limelight. So what that they have more money. Sure, it's easier to pay the bills but money can never buy happiness. From what I've come to know of you, you appear to have your head screwed on right and keep very grounded. This, I can admire. I'm far more interested in listening to the life story of a regular member of society, than that of someone very famous. I'm sure that I've surprised a few people over the years from overseas where it isn't common for strangers to strike up a conversation with another. I had just flown into Sydney Airport from Hawaii and was awaiting a bus for the Domestic Terminal. A woman from the American South was standing alone, so I started chatting with her. It was her first time travelling, especially overseas. Her son was playing in our Basketball Finals, as many Americans come here to gain experience before trying to break into the US Leagues. They were from Alabama and she told me her son was nicknamed, as everyone is when you're in Australia, the Alabama Slammer! Yes, his team won. Yet, I always hope that this lady, whom had never travelled, felt at ease from my conversation. Yes, I'm as quirky as I sound and love it! Call me an eccentric Aquarian. I just don't want to be the same as everyone else. If you're into art, you may be familiar with a painting by Van Gogh of a field of irises. They are all blue, except for one that is white. He would have been referencing himself as that white iris, yet I see it as myself. I have a print of it at home.
Anyway, I'll advise Lady Hamilton that if you decide to get in touch, that it's okay to pass on what I tell her to. We have to be so careful about what we type now. Crazy! I'll certainly be looking forward to your end of year wrap up. We still have Isamaya's new palette and maybe another Mothership? This year is far from over, just hope it doesn't break the bank! Take care as always, Kris.🇦🇺💖👩🏼‍🎨
