It depends on certain things. Having a drawer rack for utensils and cutlery in the kitchen makes sense. Also some people use larger containers to sort out either their closets filled with clothes or need containers for holiday specific decorations. My family has a box for almost every major holiday.

I actually do this already. I have a box that my electric heating pad came in, use one plastic bag as the liner, stuff it with more bags, and throw *that* bag into the recycle thing at Walmart.
