3. If it takes 5 witches 5 minutes to brew 5 potions, how long will it take 100 witches to brew 100 potions?
5 minutes
(1 witch takes 5 minutes to make 1 potion)
4. A Hershey’s kiss and a Mars bar cost a total of $1.10. The Mars bar costs exactly $1 more than the Hershey’s. How much is the Hershey’s kiss?
$0.05 (Mars is $1.05 and Hershey’s is $0.05)
5. You enter a haunted house with 2 rooms. There’s no way to see from one room to another. One room has 3 light switches and the other has 3 lightbulbs. How do you find out which switch turns on which bulb in just a single trip?
Turn one on for 1 min or so, turn it off.
Turn on a second one and check right away.
Warm/off bulb is the 1st, lit is 2nd, cool/off is 3rd.
