I thought there was a bizarre rudeness to the interviewer’s final question and the tone in which it was posed. She obviously had issues or negative ideas of Chinese culture or the people, and she thought everyone else should have the same negative thoughts. Pedro handled the negativity so well. He was so positive and diplomatic and open-minded. What a strange and downright rude way to end an interview with her wrinkling her nose at his gracious opinion!
I live in China and agree with him about enjoying being an outsider. :0 I've seen The Great Wall(movie) and enjoyed it very much. Pedro and Matt click very well in it.
You can tell that his international upbringing has given him a unique worldview for famous actors. He has spoken so highly of international filmmakers, putting US reporters in check about thinking that everything good starts here.
