    Thank you so much for the tour of your new home. I hope it doesn't leak anymore. You had one leak in the old topper. I can see your complaints and hopefully they will take that into consideration and maybe give you a discount on the one you have or if you decide on getting a new one on trade, or just give it to you since you worked out the kinks. Just want to say I am so happy for you in the new digs. At least now you will be warm in the winter with an electric blanket and for having solar panels and battery to charge your computers and etc. Also just want to say you two are just so darn cute together and too funny. Love the channel and can't wait to see where you are going in the new year of 2023. As always stay safe, thank you for sharing and God Bless, and have A HAPPY NEW YEAR.

      So far, no leaks Rose. But we're keeping a close eye on it. Another reason why we haven't built any cupboards yet. Want to make sure everything is OK. At least we have more space, and we don't have to go outside on cold, wet mornings to make our coffee.
      Wishing you a very Happy New Year, and we'll see you on our next adventure.

    Its always fun to see these types of reviews to learn what others are using. I've had my Alu-Cab Canapy Camper in the weather for 6 months at a time and had no leaks. I like that I can stand up in the truck bed and even sit up in the Canapy. I like the lights on the side pannels because they illuminate the outside area around the camper and I like the red LED lights along with the white ones. The smartest addition I made to my rig was to add the Dickenson marine heater. It makes really cold snaps a breeze. Fun review guys.

    That topper is amazing, and once again, great choice! We think the only advantage ours has over it is that ours is always "popped up", however, this comes at a great expense... a college tuition worth the poor gas mileage! Not to mention, it's probably well over 1k lbs wet, so we're probably overweight for our truck 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️. Glad you guys are happy with it!

    • @PinInTheAtlas
      @PinInTheAtlas  Год назад +3

      It’s pretty easy to pop up and only takes a couple of minutes. It’s the remaking of the bed and having to store the linens. But a small price to pay after living cramped in our old topper

Do you know if they could fit a camper like this for my taco ? Your video review hit it home and this is absolutely perfect for me ! Welcome, Leo and thanks for subbing. Glad you are enjoying our videos. 4 wheel campers build pop-ups for most pick-up trucks, but you'll need to speak to them as we're not sure. Each camper is designed for the individual. The Project M we chose because it was light weight and came with a blank canvas. Depending on the length of time you plan on camping out, may we suggest that you get 2 fans. We only got one, but after living in it since Sept, we wish we had a second one above our heads. Hope this helps. If you have any other questions we can answer, please drop us a line info4pinintheatlas@gmail.com

    That was interesting to see and I can imagine that you're a lot happier with this topper than the first one. One would assume thought that after this model been around for a couple of years now, they would have caught some of those snags you found after 3 months of 'beta-testing'; rather annoying to see that it isn't even flush with Tonto's back. Thank you so much for making this video! I have been looking at campers for my Tacoma for around 6 months now, and I have pretty much settled on the Project M. For the past couple of days I have been going through the Project M website, thinking back on a lifetime of traveling by road and trying to decide which of the [very expensive] options will fit my needs. Your video helped me decide that, for my purposes, the thermal pack is worth the money. I do a lot of research while on the road and my electricity needs are fairly large [computer, 27" monitor and Starlink], so the AGM solar/truck power box will be worth what they charge only if they offer an optional, larger capacity battery..Gotta' call 'em about that before I order! I do have one question: How long after you ordered your Project M was it ready? Thanks again. Great video!

    • @PinInTheAtlas
      @PinInTheAtlas  Год назад +2

      Hi Chris. Glad our video helped. A couple of things. In our opinion we wish we had ordered a second vent fan over the bed. That would help with condensation and keep you cooler in the hotter months. Secondly seriously think about a lithium battery. It lasts longer and you can run the charge down. Also we wish we could have the battery at floor level keeping the weight low.
      As far as time factor it was about 4 months but we don’t know how busy 4wheeler is as each topper is made to order. Good luck and happy travels. Maybe we’ll see you on the road.

    I would not go away for a day in this. No aircon in the desert, cramped and a hash up on a van with an addition it was not designed for. No proper toilet or shower. We have spent a lot of time in Nevada, Utah and California. Dust, Heat, cold at night. Sweating a lot during the day. Obviously I do not know your financial situation, but if we were to do this we would invest in a proper van with a few amenities. However, the cost of a decent van in the UK is £68.000. We have done a lot of what you have done and just stay in cheap hotels. If we were going to do what you are doing full time we would buy a Suburban 4WD and do what we have done on our fleeting trips and stay in cheap hotels. Push comes to shove you can sleep in the back of a Suburban. For cleanliness your truck must be awful, especially for a women.
