    I work in an industry where back injuries are frequent career killers. I worked with a personal trainer that taught me that the best way to avoid back injuries isn't actually to work hard on the back muscles, but all the supporting ones like quads, hips and shoulders.
    By just strengthening you back muscles, you are teaching your body to use your back for more and more work which can lead to more injuries, not fewer!

      he’s never had a claim against him or his company in 30 plus years, the dude is flawless in the trees.. he’s said it before in a couple of his other videos.. if he makes a mistake it’s a tiny one, no room for error ever in this line of work.. if you do, you could pay with your business going under and lose everything, so you gotta be nothing but heads up in this game pretty much at all times🫠

    I know that for myself, what I found extremely frustrating as a new climber was not having a feel for things, I could see how to do it the way my boss was telling me to, however I hadn't yet developed the feel necessary to achieve it reliably. Unfortunately, I was working for someone who had been doing tree work long enough he forgot that things require a feel for EXACTLY how far to cut, as well as many other nuances required to get the job done as he saw it in his mind.
    Had one day he wanted me to chunk out a leaning lead that was over the deck. The top had been roped off already and there was about 5 feet over the deck yet. Wanted me to cut chunks and toss them. I didn't have enough skill with chunking yet to guarantee it. After going in circles a few times with him about wanting to rope it out as i couldn't guarantee not hitting the deck, he eventually said ok.
    While I've developed a feel for a lot of the things I couldn't do back then, there are still things that I've seen him do on a daily basis that are beyond my reliable, tight quarters capability. Watching August work reminds me of that boss in the sense that he has such a highly tuned feel for things.

    Cool, in more ways than one. From a mechanics point of view, I didn't like ECHO tools. Now They have come a long way in product improvement and reliability. Of course in saws, the bar and chain make the difference between a good saw and a killer saw. And it always helps to make sure the bar oil cap is tight. Now, I just need to find somebody to take down two dead black gums. About 80' high.

    Why not schedule to have the secondary service wire disconnected? Instead of chancing breaking it or having to rig limbs? Its free and makes your job easier, less dangerous, and more efficient. Was it the neighbors power?

      You guys clearly have been at it awhile, i know you guys know what you're doing. You weighed the risk vs reward and deemed it unnecessary. And your right it was a fairly simple job for the experienced climber. Just a thought while cutting i, myself, might have had. 😂 please dont take it as a harsh criticism 🍻

    How long would you say the panther bar is good for on the echo?

    • @AugustHunicke
      @AugustHunicke  2 года назад +2

      For pruning, a long time. For cutting with the full length of the bar. A short time.
