nice to see how cars are supposed to be rear wheel drive, and the back end fish tailing, none of the crap electronics nowadays, great video, brings back memories, 👍👍👍👍
Who would like to see more Classic Ford compilations like this? Let me know what models you would like to see and I may be able to make one providing I have enough footage!!
Love the way the Sapphire squats down when you boot it. I couldn’t afford the insurance at the time these came out. Now I can afford the insurance I can’t afford the car 😩
Chris chris ...and today, they're still objects of desire. 3 door and particularly RS 500 Cosworths are becoming crazy collectible and therefore expensive!
I showed my daughter for the first time, a cosworth here in Moonstone Blue. She kept saying it is silver. Eventually, she said it look like Lavender. Wow, lucky the boyracers of the 1980's didn't think they were driving around in a flower coloured car.
HOW could you let that go... Unless you became homeless??? Was there a major reason for selling? You're a fucking moron and only hope it was for something life saving or else you deserve not that sapph
The mk1's are amazing-even the sapphires are growing on me as time goes by...and yet not a single flourescent lime green Oakley thermonuclear protection sticker to be seen on the back windows-they were standard equipment back in the day
Finally a quality video with just sierras av got three the estate in my wee picture a pinto powered sapphire and a cvh hatch cracking vid just like the rest of them keep up the good work
So cool to see this on my home page especially as I want to get my hands on a Ford Cosworth RS or Ford Sierra Cosworth. Unfortunately I have to import it due to the fact it was not made for the U.S. Market.
barn find? as an electrician i was at a old costumers house the other day and got to look in the garage, were i saw a Sierra Cosworth RS wite 5 dor with the smal wing. this one have not been caerd for in years as there was no air in the weels and a open driver side window witch has made the interior look kind of bad. so i am thinking of bying and fixing it. thoughts?
Don't see how they are a nightmare to maintain tbh just keep em clean providing they are in good condition already they don't need much work just a little tlc and if he's got 2 hes a lucky bastard and should keep hold of em!
Wooooow where was this pageant show I’ve got to get myself to this location fasht!! Great video son, there exhausts and like the sweet nectarine of the rare Argentinian bird to my ears. Lucky u got to witness. Wish me luck on my future rally’s lad
Amazing sounds from legendary Ford RS Cosworths . No stupid pop and bang maps on these amazing machines . Just plant the accelerator and steer from the rear . These days this next generation have no skills and instead it is a car park full of Focuses all revving and popping . Long live real RSs and skills needed to pilot these "REAL" monsters 😎
Epic. Would love one of these someday. I own a, '84 mk3 Capri 2.0 S, and my dad had a 2.0 Sapphire GLSI when I was a kid which is about as close as I ever got to owning one of these. We actually drag raced a cossie saph down the A127 once and we had him off the line until he hit the top end and his turbo kicked in lol. I owned a 2.0 Sapphire once but it was just a standard saloon, nothing sporty. My Capri is my pride and joy now but I still wouldnt say no to a Cossie.
mk1kieran Not sure where they are held. Never been to a meet, would like to go but don't deal with big crowds very well, I'm a bit of an introvert you see.
Neo's Gaming Construct the first clip is one I host at Boxhill in Dorking,Surrey check my FB page for the next date, the crowds aren't generally huge at that one it's more cars than people if I'm totally honest.
Ah, thats quite a long way away form me. I'm in south east Essex so bit far to go. I'll keep watching the vids though, hopefully they'll be more Capris doing burnouts next time! Seen some younger guys putting cosworth lumps in them so likely more willing to do burnouts and hoon around than these older chaps who dont want to get their wheel arches clogged up with rubber lol.
I've had three cosies. I liked them until I bought my first evo 5 then I realised I like going fast. My last sapphire was running greens at 22psi still was no match for my evos. The evos were going into corners and round them at least 20 mph faster. I still have a soft spot for cosies. But you guys needs to drive an evo please.
So what was it running then on greens 320hp tops? Bet your Evo is more than that, it's not all about being the fastest it's about the enjoyment which is where the Cossie wins hands down. Plenty of faster cars out there
Yes you are right there are plenty of faster cars out there. Doh!!! But I was comparing my cosies to my evos my opinion. And for you to say cosies win hands down on enjoyment to drive over evos. You are clearly delusional. If you enjoy the way cosies drive that's your opinion. I prefer to pick my line hit every apex. All the fun is in finding the limit of the car and consistently keeping on that limit. It just so happens I find the cosies limit is way slower. Therefore not as much enjoyment for me. So thanks for your reply. But clearly you just don't get it.
so what I have learned from this is, if you have a rare ford cosworth sierra, find the narrowest street you can and flog the living shit out of it. I will remember this.
mk1kieran oh haha, another question for anyone. I know of a 3 door cosworth in moonstone blue with around 30,000miles and is about as immaculate as a car can be. What would that be worth? The guy would never sell it but just a rough value
A real weapon in their day, sadly driven by hooligans in many cases who had no subtlety to their driving style and consequently wrapped them around trees.
Never could understand why they went from 3 door to 4 Still, its successor looks insanely cool - imo, even better than the Ford Mustang of the same era. I owned both when I lived in the UK for 5 years
i will own a white rs500 one day (well, most likely a rep lol ). big up the green corsa gsi at 7:08 too, theyre as rare to see as a fiesta rs turbo these days.
Great video, cant wait to get the old girl on the road again and listen to the dump valve while the tires tear up the asphalt and at the same time my girlfriend holding on for dare life and screaming to me to stop and im like, shut da hell up girl am trying to concentrate
Nothing beats the awesomeness of the Sierra
Wow
Yeah
❤
Definitely one of my favourite cars! Ford sierra going sideways is always fantastic.
JDM IS LIFE can't beat it!
@@mk1kieran sierras can beat jdm tho
@@mk1kieran ещё как сможет!
@@mk1kieran ford Sierra is JDM right?
i love the way the sapphire cossies arse kicks down when you give it some proper welly.
nice to see how cars are supposed to be rear wheel drive, and the back end fish tailing, none of the crap electronics nowadays, great video, brings back memories, 👍👍👍👍
Not to mention the Dead people you leave in your wake.
Old Fords.. driven by crazy British guys - and that's not a bad thing! Great vid! 👍
Haha thank you :)
Its weird why american ford dident make like specials of these cars with big ford v8 engines in them ?
@@BlueStarJT Because weight !
@@colinscutt5104 and size ! They were making v8 Mustangs at the time and they were massive.
@@BaldMancTwat They had the v8 engines in oz in the falcon I think.
The looks of a 3dr cossie still take my breath away when I see one...timeless performance car. Such a story. Love it, great vid. Thanx
Who would like to see more Classic Ford compilations like this? Let me know what models you would like to see and I may be able to make one providing I have enough footage!!
Maybe Ford Escort Cosworth ... I am a huge escort fan :)
mk1kieran i would do any skid vid compilation like this mate was great to watch
Chance Boudro big fan of the that.
mk1kieran You are the king of the"show leaving vids."Really hope you are doing some more this season.
Nicholas Coope thanks Nicholas, of course I will be!
Bloody awesome. RUclips needed this
Luke Kindred Can't go wrong with Sierra Cossies!
had 3 sierras sadly never a cossie but always enjoyed every wet roundabout! great motors.
As a BMW/Mercedes fan, i can say that MK2 Cosworth allways have had soft spot in my hearth!
Love the way the Sapphire squats down when you boot it. I couldn’t afford the insurance at the time these came out. Now I can afford the insurance I can’t afford the car 😩
the car to have back in the day
Chris chris ...and today, they're still objects of desire. 3 door and particularly RS 500 Cosworths are becoming crazy collectible and therefore expensive!
i would love to own one even today.
Kennur Larsson son of a rs500 owner here in norway
Not to bad today either.
I showed my daughter for the first time, a cosworth here in Moonstone Blue. She kept saying it is silver. Eventually, she said it look like Lavender. Wow, lucky the boyracers of the 1980's didn't think they were driving around in a flower coloured car.
My favorite colour and the magenta on the saphire
My old car at 8:57. Sold it back in 2006. Good to see it still going well and looking lovely! 😊😊
HOW could you let that go... Unless you became homeless???
Was there a major reason for selling?
You're a fucking moron and only hope it was for something life saving or else you deserve not that sapph
If i find out you sold it to a "Ashran" i'll go fucking sick!
What exactly did you do to the motor?
Did you screen the potential buyers?
And all of the ones before that were all mine as well
Oh trust me, I certainly regret it now! Wish I hadn’t sold it but I’ll have another one one day.
Man I wish we had these in the states, I love these old u.k fords
We did get them in the USA they where rebadged as a Merkur XR4TI
I would like to see today's 2 liters sound so good !!!
Iliescu Benyamin easy. Impreza 😁
Sweet video, That sierra with all the texaco decals sounds like a transformer!
RS cossie's are awesome.
They sure are my friend ;)

Lee Broadbent haha thanks Lee!!
old fords never die.. they just get faster
Best vid on youtube i will always come back to this ❤
Great video Kieran as always some serious tyre shredding going here 👌🏻👌🏻🎥
Thank you Paul, it wouldn't be a Classic Ford video without some tyre shredding!
The sights and sounds of a council estate in the late 80s/early 90s all over again.
nice to see us on this vid a couple of times
Nice to see the blue smoke ! Takes me back to the 90s
Greatest car ever made. Glorious
Grown up round good old fords loves the Sierra personally my favourite cosie amazing to watch 😍
These ford events must be really bad as everyone seems to be in such a hurry to leave 😀
Haha 😂
lanc101 lmfao
Because they feel embarrassed getting seen in these old sierra rust buckets would you not
Finally a quality video with just sierras av got three the estate in my wee picture a pinto powered sapphire and a cvh hatch cracking vid just like the rest of them keep up the good work

So cool to see this on my home page especially as I want to get my hands on a Ford Cosworth RS or Ford Sierra Cosworth. Unfortunately I have to import it due to the fact it was not made for the U.S. Market.
Brilliant video, its sad that its difficult to find these cars in good codition where i live.
Thank you! I think they are hard to find anywhere in the world in good condition!

4:01 amazing blow off sound.
The mitsubishi driver at 5:00 lmao... "You're going to have to wait".

Oh I love these car 😍 they are the Ultimate turbo charge car
3:28 this guy driving is my favourite
Gotta be a million Quid's worth in total, if not more.
Probably not far off to be honest!
Drew Layton Don't be daft... Don't forget a lot of the clips were of the same cars.
nice way to give the car behind you a new paint job
Some of those owners probably cried when they got home for the damage they'd done.
These are tourers don't be silly a track a full send or joyriders
Don't silly.......
Motors are fully armoured ❤
Loads of appearances for my old moonstone saph Cossie, I miss abusing that car
Haha that poor car got plenty of abuse but it's what they're made for!!
thats my favorite hacks up better than any nissan I've ever seen.
I like the 4 doors better
The 2nd moonstone blue Sierra RS cosworth look amazing
I love the 3 door not so much the sapphire. I also can remember all the lookalikes 😂😂😂😂some looked ridiculous
They're awesome cars when they work 😂
ChrissV They are way better than any millenial no personality bubble we get today....And would also out perform aswell....
My dad owns 2 and they are a nightmare to maintain but i still love them..
Im 33 and used to screwdriver em off the street.... 😉
Don't see how they are a nightmare to maintain tbh just keep em clean providing they are in good condition already they don't need much work just a little tlc and if he's got 2 hes a lucky bastard and should keep hold of em!
Agreed and you have to have long arms and deep pockets to keep them in the manor to which they are accustomed!

@ 0:26 is that the Sierra wheeler dealers bought, that had bad piston rings?
There are not many cars I'd have over a Cosworth, with along with a brooklands Capri are among my all time favourites
I can smell the clutch burning from here
95 % of these looks to be absolutely knackered.. Not a good example of how good this car was, when you put some love into it.
The Saph's always happiest when it's sideways
Cracking video. Must get mine out more this year!
Definitely, bring it to one of the meets if you're local! :)
mk1kieran. We're an hour and a half away but we're making the trip up 👍
British-mechanic awesome!! someone drove 3 hours each way before 😳
mk1kieran. that's good going! My mate will be paying half the fuel in the Cossie so won't be too bad. Are saph Cossie's still welcome 'mate? Cheers
British-mechanic yes of course :)
Some are ok, but mostly blowing out tons of blue smoke, nicely looked after cars then!, Naaa don't need to warm it up first, watch this!.
Amazing how many of these are left
My favourite was the Sierra 👌🏻
Love love!!! Sapphire 3.0 glx what a car.
Amazing video 🙏

I Love the old Ford Sierras
so what I have learned from this is, if you have a rare ford cosworth sierra, find the narrowest street you can and flog the living shit out of it. I will remember this.
Leaning out the window or forward is the standard
How much are a set of rear tyres ? ..... These guys are crazy !!
what kind of bov are some off them running?
Good video mate
Good to see the smokie ones and hear the misfiring Cossie's
40 out of 60 Cosworths there went to EuroCarParts the next day for a clutch kit lol
Are you for real dude lol I bet you do 40 on the motorway
never realised the rear suspension on the Sapphires is so soft!!!
Jack Gedge yep, they're squat machines! Lol
Jack Gedge you'll find most cossies have flat back boxes Lol
ChrissV forgive me if I'm wrong (never been in a cossie) wouldn't the back end be a bit unpredictable?
They're famous for it haha

This is how Sierra's should be driven
Never could understand why they went from 3 door to 4

I owned both when I lived in the UK for 5 years
guess it was because of escort, ngl 4dr sierra hit hard and look beautiful
Is this an annual meet? If so, can someone please tell me the exact location?

None of these locations in this video are used anymore, they were monthly meets.
